Abstract
In einer Verbundscheibe mit einem zwei starre Scheiben zu einem Scheibenverbund adhäsiv miteinander verbindenden Folienlaminat, welches mindestens eine eingefärbte und eine nicht gefärbte, beim Herstellen des Scheibenverbundes aufschmelzbare Klebefolie umfasst, ist erfindungsgemäß zwischen den beiden unterschiedlich gefärbten aufschmelzbaren Klebefolien mindestens eine Zwischenschicht vorgesehen, welche ein gleichmäßiges Einebnen der zueinander weisenden Oberflächen der beiden Klebefolien während des Aufschmelzens bewirkt. Hierdurch wird beim fertigen Produkt eine homogene Färbung in der Durchsicht erzielt.
Description
- Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf eine Verbundscheibe mit einem Folienlaminat mit den Merkmalen des Oberbegriffs des Patentanspruchs 1.
- Es sind für den Einbau in Schiebe-Hebe-Dächer von Fahrzeugen oder auch als hintere Seitenscheiben und Heckscheiben von Fahrzeugen vorgesehene Verbundscheiben bekannt, welche im wesentlichen aus zwei starren Scheiben aus Glas oder Kunststoff und aus diese beiden starren Scheiben adhäsiv miteinander verbindenden Klebefolien bestehen. Zum Absorbieren eines Teils des durch die Verbundscheibe im eingebauten Zustand einfallenden Lichts verwendet man oft eine in der Masse gefärbte Klebefolie. Durch Kombination mit einer ungefärbten, im Endzustand für sich genommen klar durchsichtigen Klebefolie wird das akustische Verhalten (Schalldämmung) sowie die UV-Beständigkeit des fertigen Verbundes verbessert. Zum letzteren Zweck wird die ungetönte Klebefolie im Einbauzustand der Verbundscheibe der Licht- bzw. Sonneneinstrahlung zugewendet (außenliegend). Sie absorbiert einen großen Teil der UV-Einstrahlung, die auf längere Sicht die Tönung der gefärbten Klebefolie verändern könnte.
- Beim endgültigen Verbinden der Lagen dieser Verbundscheibe in einem Autoklavprozess bei ca. 130 bis 150°C schmelzen die beiden Klebefolien praktisch vollständig auf. Die fertige Verbundscheibe zeigt mitunter aber in der Durchsicht eine deutlich wahrnehmbare inhomogene wolkige Färbung, eine sogenannte "Orangenhaut". Man stellte fest, dass es infolge der rauen und welligen Oberflächen der Folien an der Grenzfläche zwischen klarer und gefärbter Klebefolie im Autoklaven zu ungleichmäßigen Fließphänomenen und daraus resultierenden Dickenschwankungen der vor dem Aufschmelzen annähernd gleichmäßig dicken Folien kommt, und zwar unabhängig davon, ob die beiden aufeinander laminierten Folien ursprünglich gleiche oder unterschiedliche Dicken hatten.
- Die Rauigkeit und Welligkeit der Folienoberflächen sind einerseits produktionsbedingt unvermeidbar, andererseits tragen sie aber zur zuverlässigen Entlüftung des Vorverbundes beim Anlegen eines Unterdrucks bei. Zwischen den Lagen eingeschlossene Luft muss bekanntlich entfernt werden und strömt dabei durch die von den Oberflächenstrukturen gebildeten Kanäle ab.
- Es sind auch Verbundscheiben bekannt, bei denen zum Zwecke einer erhöhten Wärmedämmung zwischen zwei Klebefolien eine weitere thermoplastische Folie, zumeist aus PET (Polyethylenterephthalat), einlaminiert wird, welche ihrerseits mit einer infrarote Wellen reflektierenden (metallhaltigen) Beschichtung versehen ist. In gleicher Funktion ist auch eine aus einem PET-PMMA-Koextrudat oder -laminat bestehende Folie ohne Metallbestandteile einsetzbar (bekannt unter dem Produktnamen 3M® SRF "solar reflecting film").
- Bei diesen Folienlaminaten - mit gleich gefärbten Klebefolien - tritt natürlich das Problem unterschiedlicher Färbung und Vermischung der Klebefolien nicht auf.
- Der Erfindung liegt die Aufgabe zu Grunde, eine gattungsgemäße Verbundscheibe mit einem Folienlaminat aus unterschiedlich gefärbten Klebefolien so zu verbessern, dass durch Dickenschwankungen beim Aufschmelzen verursachte optische Störungen vermieden werden.
- Diese Aufgabe wird erfindungsgemäß mit den Merkmalen des Patentanspruchs 1 gelöst. Die Merkmale der Unteransprüche geben vorteilhafte Weiterbildungen dieses Gegenstands an.
- Man kann die unerwünschten optischen Effekte sicher vermeiden, indem man zwischen die gefärbte und die klare Klebefolie mindestens eine weitere Zwischenschicht einlegt, welche ihre Oberfläche im Autoklavprozeß nicht verändert, sowie auch ihre spätestens nach dem Zusammenlegen der Verbundlagen erhaltene Raumform im wesentlichen beibehält. Dadurch werden die Oberflächen der angrenzenden Klebefolien beim Aufschmelzen gleichmäßig eingeebnet und können keine optisch wahrnehmbaren Welligkeiten bilden.
- Als Zwischenschicht kann z. B. eine klare PET-Folie verwendet werden, eine beschichtete PET-Folie, z. B. des Typs Southwall XIR, ein PET-PMMA-Koextrudat z. B. des Typs 3M® SRF, aber auch zahlreiche andere Folien (z. B. aus PC, PE, PEN, PMMA, PVC), welche optisch möglichst hoch transparent sind und sich im Autoklav hinsichtlich ihrer Oberfläche und Konsistenz nicht verändern.
- Eine weitere wesentliche Anforderung ist natürlich, dass die als Zwischenschicht verwendeten Folien mit den angrenzenden Klebefolien kompatibel sind. Insbesondere muss eine gute Haftung zwischen den Klebefolien und der Zwischenschicht entstehen, damit keine Delamination zu befürchten ist. Auch dürfen keine chemischen oder physikalischen Wechselwirkungen entstehen, die zu optischen oder mechanischen Störungen während der Lebensdauer der Verbundscheibe führen könnten.
- Man könnte als Zwischenschicht auch eine weitere starre Scheibe einfügen, bevorzugt, aber nicht ausschließlich, eine extrem dünne Glas- oder Kunststoffscheibe (z. B. aus Polycarbonat), welche sich ggf. sogar einer leichten Biegung der beiden starren Scheiben der Verbundscheibe ohne Vorformen anpassen kann. Ist die Verbundscheibe eben und/oder kommt es auf ihre Gesamtdicke und auf ihr Gewicht weniger an, dann kann auch eine normal (wenige Millimeter) dicke starre Glas- oder Kunststoffscheibe die Zwischenschicht bilden.
- Mithilfe dieser in das Folienlaminat eingebetteten Zwischenschicht wird jedenfalls eine definierte Trennschicht oder -wand geschaffen, welche jeglichen unerwünschten ungleichmäßigen Fließvorgang zwischen den beiden unterschiedlichen Klebefolien auch dann verhindert, wenn diese vollständig aufgeschmolzen werden. Die so hergestellten Verbundscheiben sind in der Durchsicht optisch sehr homogen gefärbt.
- Man kann in einer weiteren Variante der Erfindung auch durch eine geeignete Färbung der Zwischenschicht selbst eine zusätzliche Tönung des fertigen Produkts in der Durchsicht erreichen. Eine gefärbte Zwischenschicht kann additiv zur Tönung der einen Klebefolie mit hoher Flexibilität und Reproduzierbarkeit selbst in eine Serie an sich gleich konfigurierter Verbundscheiben unterschiedliche Farbtöne, z. B. zum ergänzenden Anpassen an umgebende Farben (Karosserielack, Innenausstattung in einem Fahrzeug) einbringen, wobei natürlich die Grundtönung der gefärbten Klebefolie und die additive Tönung der Zwischenschicht sorgfältig aufeinander abzustimmen sind.
- Zum Realisieren der Erfindung bringt man zwei starre Scheiben in der üblichen Weise in die gewünschte Form (Umriss und ggf. Biegekontur). Man schneidet die gefärbte und die ungefärbte Klebefolie passend vor und legt zwischen diese eine dünne PET-Folie ein. Nun legt man den Folien-Stapel auf eine der starren Scheiben und deckt ihn mit der zweiten starren Scheibe ab. In der Regel wird man die Flächen der Folien etwas kleiner zuschneiden als die Flächen der starren Scheiben. Letztere können beide aus Kunststoff oder aus Glas bestehen, oder man verwendet eine Glas- und eine Kunststoffscheibe.
- Nach dem Entlüften des Scheiben- und Folienstapels mithilfe geeigneter Vorrichtungen wird der Vorverbund in einem Autoklavprozess einer Behandlung mit Wärme und Druck unterzogen. Dabei werden die Klebefolien vollständig aufgeschmolzen und verbinden sich innig adhäsiv mit den jeweils angrenzenden Flächen der starren Scheiben bzw. der Zwischenschicht.
- In an sich bekannter Weise wird man den in der Ebene des Folienlaminats zwischen den beiden starren Scheiben umlaufenden Randspalt mit geeigneten Mitteln versiegeln, um von dieser Stelle ausgehende Delaminierungen zu vermeiden.
- Alternativ kann man das Folienlaminat, anstelle es erst vor dem Verbinden zusammenzulegen, auch aus einer Vorfertigung beziehen, nach der entweder eine der Klebefolien bereits mit der Zwischenschicht vorlaminiert ist, so dass nur noch die zweite Klebefolie aufgelegt werden muss, oder schon alle drei Folienschichten zusammen gebracht sind und nur noch passend zu den starren Scheiben zugeschnitten werden müssen.
- Solche Vorlaminate werden vor allem dann benutzt, wenn die Zwischenschicht in Form einer beschichten PET-Folie vorliegt, wobei die beschichtete Hauptfläche kurz nach dem Beschichten bereits mit einer Klebefolie überdeckt wird, um Beschädigungen der empfindlichen Mehrfachschicht bzw. des Schichtsystems zu verhindern.
Claims (11)
1. Verbundscheibe mit einem zwei starre Scheiben zu einem Scheibenverbund
adhäsiv miteinander verbindenden Folienlaminat, welches mindestens eine
eingefärbte und eine nicht gefärbte, beim Herstellen des Scheibenverbundes
aufschmelzbare Klebefolie umfasst, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass zwischen den
beiden unterschiedlich gefärbten aufschmelzbaren Klebefolien mindestens eine
Zwischenschicht vorgesehen ist, welche ein gleichmäßiges Einebnen der
zueinander weisenden Oberflächen der beiden Klebefolien während des
Aufschmelzens bewirkt.
2. Verbundscheibe nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Wert
der Transmission des sichtbaren Lichts der gefärbten Klebefolie im fertigen
Produkt zwischen 1 und 85% liegt.
3. Verbundscheibe nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass
die Zwischenschicht durch eine zwischen 10 und 100 µm dicke Folie aus PET
gebildet wird.
4. Verbundscheibe nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass
die Zwischenschicht durch eine metallfreie infrarote Wellen reflektierende Folie
des Typs 3M® SRF gebildet wird.
5. Verbundscheibe nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass
die Zwischenschicht durch eine weitere starre Scheibe aus Glas oder Kunststoff
gebildet wird.
6. Verbundscheibe nach einem der vorstehenden Ansprüche, dadurch
gekennzeichnet, dass die beiden Klebefolien jeweils zwischen 0,2 und 1,1 mm,
vorzugsweise zwischen 0,38 und 0,76 mm dick sind.
7. Verbundscheibe nach Anspruch 6, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass
mindestens eine der Klebefolien aus Polyvinylbutyral besteht.
8. Verbundscheibe nach Anspruch 6, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass
mindestens eine der Klebefolien aus einem weichmacherfreien Thermoplasten,
insbesondere aus Ethylen-Vinyl-Acetat (EVA) besteht.
9. Verbundscheibe nach Anspruch 6, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass
mindestens eine der Klebefolien aus Polymethylmethacrylat (PMMA) besteht.
10. Verbundscheibe nach einem der vorstehenden Ansprüche, dadurch
gekennzeichnet, dass die Zwischenschicht selbst gefärbt ist.
11. Verbundscheibe nach Anspruch 10, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der
Farbton der Zwischenschicht additiv mit dem Farbton der gefärbten Klebeschicht
eine gegenüber der Färbung der Klebefolie allein veränderte Durchsicht-Farbe
ergibt.
