Mittels der Steuerung einer elektrischen Feldkraft erfolgt eine gezielte Fixierung des Bogens an und dessen späte res gezieltes Ablösen von dem Zylinder. Bei Druckzylindern angewandt wird eine glatte, exakte und sichere Lage des Bogens beim Druck ermöglicht mit dem Ergebnis einer hohen Passergenauigkeit und guten Druckqualität. Die exakte Anlage und feste Haltung des Bogens ermöglichen vorteilhaft eine Inline-Inspektion und Inline-Densitometermessung an Druckzylindern oder die Anwendung des Fixierprinzips an Messzylindern für diese Inline-Verfahren. Auch bei weiteren Bogen führenden Zylindern, bei denen ein einen sicheren Halt des Bogens unterstützender Kontakt mit anderen Zylindern fehlt, z.
