An example of such a structure is the PHC structure (Paper Honey-Comb).

Wird beim Einpressen des Halteelements in ein mit entsprechenden Nuten versehenes Kunststoffbauteil Druck auf den zentralen Bereich des Halteelements ausgeübt, so wird der konvexe Bereich so verformt, dass dessen Krümmung abnimmt, wodurch die beiden an den Enden des Federstahlelements ausgebildeten Rastvorsprünge voneinander weg bewegt werden, sodass das Halteelement leicht in die Ausnehmungen am Kunststoffbauteil eingeführt werden kann. Wird nun der Druck auf die Halterung weggenommen, so entspannt sich dieses, wobei sich die beiden Rastvorsprünge aufeinander zu bewegen und dabei das Halteelement an dem Kunststoffbauteil verrasten. Anschließend kann an dem Halteelement ein Anbauteil befestigt werden. Wenn das Anbauteil hierbei eine Zugkraft auf das Halteelement ausübt, wird die Krümmung des zentralen Bereichs des Halteelements verstärkt, so dass sich die Halterung mit seinen Rastvorsprüngen noch fester am Kunststoffbauteil verkeilt.If in this case the two ends of the sheet metal strip forming the holding element are bent so that the two latching projections face one another, the central area of the holding element is convexly curved in the relaxed state on the side of the central area facing away from the latching projections.
