Abstract

The device has a seat shell (1) holder connected to displacement elements (11) on both sides of the rear seat (2) that are longitudinally movably arranged on seat rails (7,8) fixed to the floor of the interior of the motor vehicle. The ends of profiles of the holder supporting the seat shell are combined with the displacement elements by joints (9,10) so that the holder and hence the shell of the rear seat can be pivoted on reaching the rear wheel housing to enable continued adjustment.
