Description

DEUTSCHESGERMAN

The invention relates to a disc brake of the caliper design with brake lining carriers which are arranged on both sides of the disc and can be displaced relative to one another, in particular for motor vehicles. Disc brakes of the caliper type are known in which a cylinder slidably guided in the brake carrier is provided with a bracket which crosses the brake disc and is provided on its inside with a brake lining, while the second brake lining is arranged on the piston of the cylinder. When the brake is actuated, the pads are brought into contact with the brake disc by mutual displacement of the piston and cylinder. There are also known designs with axially displaceable disc, in which the cylinder is firmly connected to the brake carrier. After the lining connected to the piston has come into contact with the disk, the latter is pressed against the stationary lining by the piston. The displaceability of the brake disc is disadvantageous in that it is slightly tilted and tends to rattle. Two AusfMiruiigs-. The defect is still common form that the lining support itself absorb the supporting forces of the brake and must accordingly be strongly formed.

According to the invention, a disc brake is proposed in which the known in Way axially displaceable on both sides of the brake disc in guide sleeves of the stationary brake carrier Support the lining carrier on a loosely pushed-on bracket that extends over the latter. The support forces are not taken up by the lining carriers but by a bracket so that the lining carriers can be more easily trained.

The execution is made in detail such that one arm of the aforementioned. Bracket in an immediate engages provided on the lining carrier recess and the other in a recess of a piston rod-like Approach of the piston of the actuating cylinder which acts directly on the other lining carrier. By arranging the bracket in such a way that it is actuated directly by the piston is and engages opposite the wheel brake cylinder in the not directly acted upon brake pad carrier, this can also be carried out easily, since any leverage on the bracket is avoided. The disc brake according to the invention is therefore considerably lighter than the known embodiments, whereby a reduction in the unsprung mass of the vehicle is obtained.

The brake according to the invention offers yet another one. Advantage, as the assembly is made easier when new brake pads are put on and only the disc brake is used for mounting and support,
especially for motor vehicles

Dabei zeigt Abb. 1 eine Ansicht,An embodiment of the invention Disc brake is shown in the drawings and is described on the basis of these. It shows Fig. 1 is a view

Abb. 2 einen horizontalen Schnitt,Fig. 2 a horizontal section,

Fig. 3 shows a vertical section through a possible embodiment.

InBoth sides of the brake disc 1 are the two. Ber lay support 2 and 3 arranged axially displaceable. To the Guide, the lining carriers are equipped with guide bushes 4, which are arranged on the stationary brake carrier 5 Guide sleeves 6 include. A compression spring supported on the guide bushes of the lining carrier 7 is arranged inside the guide sleeve 6. The actuating cylinder 8 is with the brake pad carrier 2 firmly connected or loosely placed on this. At the hole designated 9 is to the Main cylinder leading line connected. A bracket encircling the two lining carriers like pliers is numbered at 10. An attached to the brake cylinder piston 11 cylindrical extension 12 is with a Slit 13 is provided, in which one arm of the bracket 10 engages. The other arm of the lining carrier is like pliers comprehensive bracket engages in a recess 14 arranged directly on the brake lining carrier 3. The piston 11 is provided at one end with chamfers 15 which form an annular space 20. In

709 5HV263709 5HV263

diesen Ringraum 20 wird über Bohrung 9 die unter Druck stehende Flüssigkeit geleitet.the pressurized liquid is passed through this annular space 20 via bore 9.

The operation of the disc brake according to the invention is as follows: When the brake is actuated The pressure part is fed to the annular space 20 via the bore 9. The pressure that builds up there works both on the brake cylinder 8 and on the piston 11. Since a displacement of the piston is less Resistance is encountered than that of the cylinder, a movement of the piston takes place in one of the Brake pad carrier facing away from the direction, wherein the brake pad carrier 3 on the with the cylindrical Approach 12 of the piston 11 engaging bracket 10 is pressed against the brake disc. According to plant of the lining carrier 3, the cylinder is displaced and thus the lining carrier 2 is applied to the brake disc 1. When the brake is released, the on the pressure springs supporting the lining carrier, the lining carrier is detached from the disc.

According to the invention, a lever 16 is articulated on the bracket 10 for the mechanical actuation of the brake, which is supported with its end 17 on the piston rod, while at the other end 18 a pull rod 19 is articulated, which is connected, for example, to a handbrake lever, not shown stands.

When the rod 19 is pulled, the end 17 of the lever 16 articulated on the bracket 10 acts on the piston 11 and presses the lining carrier 2 against the disk 1 via the cylinder 7. The reaction of this force goes over bracket 10 to the lining carrier 3, so that this is also brought to rest on the disc 1 will.

The release path can be done in a manner known per se by manual readjustment or automatic readjustment be limited.
