Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to cosmetic and dermatological emulsions, especially emulsions with antiperspirant active ingredients. In particular, a way is shown the stability of such electrolyte-containing emulsions with low pH values is preferred of O / W emulsions.
Antiperspirants are usually offered in a variety of product forms, in Europe scooters, pump atomizers and aerosols dominate, in the USA, middle and South America pens. They are both water-free and water-containing products (hydro-alcoholic formulations, emulsions) known. The basic problem in the case of emulsions containing antiperspirants, there is a destabilizing effect high levels of electrolytes, especially in preparations with low pH values. As a result, the emulsion is not stable in storage and is often subject to phenomena such as Creaming or sedimentation. This applies in particular to low viscosity emulsions low viscosity. At the same time, such preparations must be considered by the user be felt pleasantly applicable. EP 291 334 describes, for example Transparent emulsion-based antiperspirant sticks with a high proportion of liquid Oil components, non-ionic surfactants and water. Such formulations known to leave an uncomfortable feeling on the skin when applied, because they form a greasy film. US Pat. No. 5,534,246 describes W / O emulsions described high levels of antiperspirants, which are volatile in addition to water Silicone oils and / or hydrocarbons in addition to certain nonionic surfactants contain. Such formulations are due to the use of high proportions of silicone oils characterized by relatively high formula costs and often because of their low pH represents unstable emulsions. In addition, the antiperspirant Active ingredient dissolved in the inner phase of the emulsion, whereby a known to those skilled in the art unsatisfactory release results. Such systems are due to their poor antiperspirant effect not very popular with consumers, which can be seen in the reflects low market shares of these products. Therefore, the task was a To find antiperspirant preparation with high water content, which in the Applying to the skin leaves a pleasant feeling and even at low pH values and high levels of electrolytes remain stable.
