Description
Process for the hydrogenating catalytic refining of benzene hydrocarbons with hydrogen-containing gases It is known to use hydrocarbons in various To desulfurize boiling areas and to clean other compounds by diesel products at elevated pressures and temperatures with hydrogen-containing gases conducts over catalysts. The operating conditions are chosen so that through selective hydrogenation practically only the organic sulfur compounds are hydrogenated to hydrogen sulfide without other hydrogenation reactions taking place. The hydrogen sulfide formed is partly with that leaving the plant Hydrogenation gas, the remainder in solution from the refined one by normal lye washing Product removed. High-percentage hydrogen gas can be used as the gas, but are recently used in large-scale plants, especially in the refining of Benzene hydrocarbons, also lower hydrogen gases such as coke oven gas, to this hydrogen refining has been used with good success.
The process of refining by selective hydrogenation is described in of the earthmaking industry has been carried out on a large scale with good success for decades and can be easily achieved with these products in the gasoline boiling range and diesel oils. Here, in the liquid phase or in the vapor phase, depending on the boiling range of the product to be refined.
The process of hydrative refining is also applied to desulfurization and refining of benzene hydrocarbons, especially crude benzene, because it was compared to the up to then common refining process with sulfuric acid has the advantage that the rafting losses of the product used are very high are lower.
When heating crude benzene to the one used for the hydrogenation reaction required temperature from 3200 onwards using the required Pressure of 10 to 80 atmospheres, however, it has been found that the benzene mixture, especially crude benzene, which contains the sc-mentioned forerun, to resin formation and Coke deposition tends to occur as soon as the temperature range of 2500 is exceeded. In order to remove these deposits which lead to annoying clogging in the apparatus avoid the polymers that form on heating when heat is applied distilled off under mild conditions.
The reaction temperatures for catalytic refining in the presence of hydrogen are between 320 and 4500; the pressures between 15 and 65 at. Since the seal benzene has largely evaporated at the reaction temperatures, can refining takes place in the vapor phase. For this reason: will when heating up of the product to be refined to refining temperature upstream of the reactor Connected distillation column, which has the purpose that the high-boiling products, which contain the polymers leading to blockages, as bottom products subtracted from. To this separation of the high-boiling products from those to be refined To carry out steaming with sufficient sharpness, one gives a reflux on the Column, so far in the usual way by returning part of the Overhead vapors after condensation by cooling.
It has now become apparent that in spite of this reflux always still to a small extent products with the steam come off at the top of the column, which After a long period of operation, blockages in the subsequent heating-up units and lead in the catalytic reactor.
It was found that there was a tendency to hardening and coking Products in catalytic refining by hydrogenation have these properties completely lose. It is used in place of or in addition to the present invention the above-described, hitherto customary reflux product on the distillation colon part of the already refined product coming from the reactors is abandoned. It was found that the deposits in the heating units and in the reactor decreased very strongly or disappeared completely.
