Dies ist beispielsweise in der DE 41 12 194 A1 vorgesehen. Nachteilig hierbei ist, daß durch die Nutzung des Scheinwerfers neben dessen eigentlicher Lichtfunktion, wie beispielsweise zur Erzeugung des Abblendlichts oder Fernlichts, auch zur Erzeugung des Begrenzungslichts dieser für seine eigentliche Lichtfunktion wegen des reduzierten Bauraums und/oder der zuwiderlaufenden optischen Anforderungen für die Erzeugung des Begrenzungslichts nicht optimal ausgelegt werden kann.Such a flashing light is known from DE 196 24 244 A1 known. Die Lichtquelle 10 weist einen Glaskolben 11 auf, der in der für die Funktion der Blinkleuchte erforderlichen Signalfarbe gelb oder orange gefärbt ist oder eine entsprechend farbige Beschichtung aufweist. Der Reflektor 16 ist vorzugsweise konkav gekrümmt ausgebildet und die Lichtquelle 10 ist in dessen Scheitelbereich eingesetzt. Das Lichtleitelement 22 weist eine der wenigstens einen weiteren Lichtquelle 20 gegenüberliegende Lichteintrittsfläche 24 auf, durch die von der Lichtquelle 20 ausgesandtes Licht in das Lichtleitelement 22 eintritt. The light guide element 22 has a light entry surface 24 opposite the at least one further light source 20 , through which light emitted by the light source 20 enters the light guide element 22 . The further light source 20 and the light entry surface 24 of the light guide element 22 can, for example, be arranged laterally next to the reflector 16 , but these can also be arranged below or above the reflector 16 .
Aas Lichtleitelement 22 kann aus Glas oder Kunststoff bestehen und ist farblos ausgebildet. An der entgegen Lichtaustrittsrichtung 13 weisenden Rückwand 28 des Lichtleitelements 22 sind über die Längserstreckung des Lichtleitelements 22 verteilt mehrere zur Ausbreitungsrichtung 26 des Lichts derart geneigte Flächen 30 ausgebildet, daß diese in Ausbreitungsrichtung 26 in Lichtaustrittsrichtung 13 verlaufen. Zwischen den Flächen 30 verläuft die Rückwand 28 des Lichtleitelements 22 zumindest annähernd parallel zur Ausbreitungsrichtung 26, so daß sich im Lichtleitelement 22 ausbreitendes Licht an der Rückwand 28 totalreflektiert wird. Wenn sich im Lichtleitelement 22 ausbreitendes Licht auf die geneigten Flächen 30 trifft, so wird es an diesen derart reflektiert, daß es aus dem Lichtleitelement 22 durch dessen in Lichtaustrittsrichtung 13 weisende Vorderwand 32 in Lichtaustrittsrichtung 13 austritt. Die geneigten Flächen 30 des Lichtleitelements 22 bilden prismenartige optische Profile, durch die das von der weiteren Lichtquelle 20 ausgesandte und sich im Lichtleitelement 22 ausbreitende Licht aus dem Lichtleitelement 22 ausgekoppelt wird. Die geneigten Flächen 30 des Lichtleitelements 22 können mit einer reflektierenden Beschichtung versehen sein, um das sich im Lichtleitelement 22 ausbreitende Licht durch dessen Vorderwand 32 auszukoppeln. In diesem Fall wird ein kleiner Teil des von der zur Erzeugung des Blinklichts dienenden Lichtquelle 10 ausgesandten und vom Reflektor 16 reflektierten Lichts durch die Flächen 30 abgeschirmt.The light guide element 22 can consist of glass or plastic and is colorless. Das Lichtleitelement 22 kann an seiner Rückwand 28 und/oder an seiner Vorderwand 32 optische Profile 34 aufweisen, durch die von der Lichtquelle 10 ausgesandtes und vom Reflektor 16 reflektiertes Licht beim Durchtritt abgelenkt und/oder gestreut wird, um die für das Blinklicht erforderliche Beleuchtungsstärkeverteilung und/oder Sichtbarkeit zu erzeugen. Die Blinkleuchte mit ihrem Reflektor 16 sowie den Lichtquellen 10, 20 ist unterhalb des Reflektors 46 des Scheinwerfers angeordnet, kann jedoch auch seitlich neben oder oberhalb des Reflektors 46 des Scheinwerfers angeordnet sein. Es können auch mehrere Reflektoren 46, 48 von mehreren Scheinwerfern für unterschiedliche Lichtfunktionen im Gehäuse 44 angeordnet sein, beispielsweise ein Reflektor 46 mit einer Lichtquelle 47 für die Lichtfunktion Abblendlicht und ein Reflektor 48 mit einer Lichtquelle 49 für die Lichtfunktion Fernlicht.
