Description

Process for the production of plastic-bonded, glass, mineral or slag fibers of existing insulating panels. The invention relates to a continuous Process for the production of plastic-bonded panels from glass, mineral or slag fibers, which are known to be an excellent insulation against cold, heat and noise are. It is known that they are produced in a continuous process in such a way that that between produced either by the nozzle blowing or the centrifugal process floating fibers are injected with a binder, a fiber layer is formed and this is fed to a press which determines the thickness of the plates and in which the binding agent hardens. However, these plates have the disadvantage that they are not resistant to water vapor diffusion and consequently for the insulation of cold rooms like all porous insulating materials, Require measures to prevent the water vapor from condensing in the pores and thus the insulating capacity is reduced.

The invention now consists in the fact that a foamable binder is used as a binder Plastic is used, which foams and solidifies after formation of the fiber layer will.

It is known that synthetic resin foams can be solidified by after the end of the foaming, glass fibers are stirred in and then the one with the glass fibers Pour mixed resin foam into molds and solidify or harden there.

This method has the disadvantage that the glass fibers in a Must bring form in which they stir well into the foamed plastic permit. They must be 2 to 10 inches long and not be confused as to how to use them Insulating wool accrues, otherwise it will form lumps that cannot be evenly distributed result in the foam. Because the stirring process can be carried out very quickly and carefully must and the solidification takes a long time, this process can not be continuous carry out.

In contrast, the invention proposes a continuous manufacturing process for plastic-bonded insulating panels, in which the glass or the like.

Fibers are not stirred into the plastic foam, but the foamable plastic as a binder between the blown or centrifugal processes fibers produced or otherwise made to float and still float is injected. After the fibers are placed on the conveyor belt, the plastic foams depending on its type in the cold or warm. Through a continuously working Press, in turn, determines the thickness of the plate. After leaving the press shares the continuous fiberglass-foam-Uand in utility sizes.

According to the method according to the invention can be used Appropriate plastics and propellants as well as fiberglass foam sheets with open as well as especially those with closed pores. Latter are particularly advantageous for cold insulation because they have the same insulating effect have significantly higher strength than those made only of synthetic resin foams Sheets and are virtually non-flammable because of the amount of synthetic resin foam required is only slight.
