Es sind dabei geringe Toleranzen der Bohrung 5 des Isolierkörpers 2 belanglos. Die Gewindespitzen 4 der Mittelelektrode biegen sich beim Einpressen in die Isolierkörperbohrung 5 in Richtung auf das Anschlußende der Mittelelektrode um und widerstehen dadurch gut dem Gasdruck, der während des Betriebes auf die zündseitige Stirnfläche der Mittelelektrode wirkt. Das Einhaken der Gewindespitzen in den Isolierkörper ergibt eine einwandfreie Dauerbefestigung der Mittelelektrode. Die gewindelose Isolierkörperbohrung ist einfacher herstellbar und bruchsicherer als die mit Gewinde versehene Längsbohrung bekannter Isolierkörper.
