Elektrizitätszählertafeln werden neuerdings mit Installationsgeräten, z. B. Überlastschutzorganen in Form von Installations-Selbstschaltern, ausgerüstet, die in bezug auf das speisende Kraftwerk vor dem Elektrizitätszähler angeordnet sind. Die Installationsgeräte sind dabei fest auf der Zählertafel montiert, und ihre elektrischen Anschlußstellen werden von einer Abdeckkappe überdeckt. Die Deckelteile der Geräte mit den Handbedienungsorganen ragen dabei durch Aussparungen der Abdeckkappe nach außen. Es hat sich herausgestellt, daß die Abdeckung keinen sicheren Schutz gegen Stromdiebstahl bietet, da die Möglichkeit besteht, von außen einen Draht in den Spalt zwischen der Kappenaussparung und dem Installationsgerät einzuführen. Man hat deshalb bereits vorgeschlagen, unter der Abdeckkappe eine zweite plombierbare Kappe anzuordnen, die nur die Klemmen der vor dem Zähler liegenden Leitungen abschließt. Gleichzeitig wird durch den an sich nach oben verjüngenden Flansch eine Abnahme des Schalterdeckels 2 a verhindert.
