DEUTSCHESGERMAN
Durch die Festlegung nur einer einzigen Tragschiene als genormten Träger für die Klemmenreihen in Schaltanlagen aller Art ist eine Vereinheitlichung der Schaltänlagenklemmen eingetreten. Nicht nur kleine Klemmen für die Nachrichtentechnik und Hauptanschlußklemmen für Ströme über 500 A werden auf diese Tragschiene nebeneinandergesteckt, sondern auch Sonderklerrimen, die die immer weitergehenden Aufgaben, die früher innerhalb einer Schaltanlage mittels Schaltern gelöst wurden, werden heute schon am Eingang zur Schaltanlage durch die dafür jeweils besonders entwickelten Klemmen erfüllt. Auch diese sitzen neben den großen und kleinen Anreih-Durchgangsklemmen auf derselben Normtragschiene. So hat man z. B. in Schaltanlagen sogenannte Paketschalter, mit denen eine Anzahl Leitungen gleichzeitig geschlossen oder getrennt werden können. Legt man Wert darauf, dieses öffnen oder Schließen, dem normalbetrieblichen Schalten zu entziehen, so verlegt man diese Betätigung in den nicht unmittelbar zugangliehen Teil der Schaltanlage, etwa in Form einer Steckkupplung. Häufig hat man auch betriebsmäßig schnell auszuwechselnde Geräte, die ebenfalls mittels Steckkupplungangeschlossen werden. Diese bekannten Kupplungen gibt es in den verschiedensten Formen.
