It is known to equip the spray wires for electrostatic precipitators, in particular those with angular cross-sections, with spiked attachments by subsequently clamping wire loops onto the wires in the horizontal direction in the manner of clothespins on the tensioned spray wires (compare e.g. British patent specification 418 403, Fig. 15, numeral 15, and U.S. Patent 2,352,651).

The invention relates to a new, particularly simple and easy-to-clamp wire clasp with an or multiple tips.

As the drawing shows (Fig. 1, front view), the essence of the wire clip is that the horizontal spray tip S _{1 is} bent at one end W ₁ like a paper clip K and this curved part with a long leg Sp acting as a clip is parallel to the spray wire D. runs and the end of this vertical leg (in contrast to the horizontal leg W _v which the spray tip JT ₁ closes) is bent back into a loop £ so that this loop end can be clamped behind the spray electrode (Fig. 1) and through the loop and the resilient contact pressure of the clasp Sp against the horizontal leg W ₁ is clamped on the vertical spray electrode. A further embodiment shown in Fig. 1 shows the possibility of extending the loop end E further upwards instead of downwards by making a short horizontal bend in place of the loop and then again a slightly cranked leg V lying parallel to the spray electrode with a second horizontal branch W ₂ can be connected to a spray tip S _2. This second horizontal part W ₂ is held in its position by the clamping effect of the horizontal loop end W _1.

Patent claims: 1. Spray electrode provided with removable spiked attachments, in particular angular cross-section, for electrostatic filters, characterized by a paper clip-like wire loop (K), one horizontal end (W ₁ ) of which forms the spray tip (S ₁ ) and the other part (Sp ) forms a short loop at the end (E) , which is clamped behind the spray electrode, and thereby presses the horizontal end (W ₁ ) of the paper clip-like loop through the clasp (Sp) resiliently onto the front against the spray electrode (D) . 2.
