Es ist offensichtlich, daß insbesondere beim Bau verhältnismäßig langer und größer Tunnel die technischen und wirtschaftlichen Schwierigkeiten sowie die festen Kosten so erhebliche Ausmaße annehmen können, daß die Einrichtung einer den Anforderungen voll entsprechenden Belüftungsanlage praktisch in Frage gestellt wird.. Im Gefahrenfall ist es dem Fahrer des transportierten Fahrzeuges dabei lediglich möglich, mittels der Fahrzeugbremse über die Hinterräder seines Fahrzeuges zu bremsen. Diese Bremsmöglichkeit ist unzureichend, wenn- z. B. der Einzelantrieb eines vorausfahrenden Schleppschemels versagt. Bei Schleppkabelantrieb wird das Bremsen mit ■der Fahrzeugbremse überhaupt wirkungslos bleiben, was dann gefährlich ist, wenn Frachtgüter oder Menschen auf die Fahrbahn stürzen.
