Die Erfindung betrifft eine Bänderung für Atemschutzmasken, deren Bänder mittels Schiebeschnallen gegen lappenförmige, von dem Maskenkörper ausgehende und mit diesem aus einem Stück hergestellte Ansätze geklemmt werden. Durch die Schiebeschnallen sind die Bänder in ihrer Länge verstellbar, um dadurch verschiedenen Kopfgrößen angepaßt werden zu können. Die Bänderung kann entsprechend dem Werkstoff der Maske ebenfalls aus verschiedenen Werkstoffen hergestellt sein. Sie kann z. B. aus undehnbarem Textilband bestehen, in das besondere Federteile eingesetzt sind. Sie kann aber auch aus mit Gummifäden durchwebtem Textilband gefertigt sein, so daß die Bänder in ihrer ganzen Länge elastisch dehnbar sind.
