The technical solution relates to a vehicle equipped with an integrated covering and dividing roller, allowing the luggage compartment to be covered or a partition between the passenger compartment and the luggage compartment.

Background Art

Currently, two separate blinds are used to cover the luggage compartment and to create a partition between the passenger compartment and the luggage compartment. One known solution is described in U.S. Pat. No. 4,725,777. In a common cartridge attached to both the rear upper edge and the rear seat backrests, two blinds are arranged in parallel, one of the full material for covering the luggage compartment, the other of the mesh to form a vertical partition wall. The pull-out end of the cover blind is attached to the tailgate lid so that when it is opened, the cover blind is lifted to fully open the luggage compartment. The dividing shutter can be attached to the ceiling of the passenger compartment at two points to create a partition between the passenger and luggage compartments both in the seatbacks and in the forward-facing backrests for increased luggage space. The disadvantage of such a solution is the need for two complete roller shutters, including winding mechanisms, and therefore a costly effort, while the use of the covering and dividing shutters is unrealistic at the same time. The dividing walls above the backrests in the usable position can be used only when transporting objects in excess of the backrest height or. when transporting animals in the luggage compartment, and in such cases, a cover blind cannot be used. Also, with the backrest folded down and the dividing wall formed, the use of a cover blind is unnecessary.

The essence of the technical solution

The aforementioned drawbacks are largely eliminated by the vehicle according to the present invention. A vehicle equipped with an integrated cover and divider, has a luggage compartment accessible by the tailgate and rear seats with folding backrests. The blind is wound in a cassette mounted in the rear upper edge of the backrests and is stretchable horizontally or vertically, the free end of the blind being attachable in its extended position to the rear tilt wall, in the ceiling area above the cassette when the backrests are in use and in the ceiling above the cassette when the backrests are folded forward. The blind is made of a material partially transparent only when viewed substantially in a direction perpendicular to the plane of tension of the blind and opaque when viewed from other angles. The transverse vertical profile of the interior surface of the ceiling in the blind attachment area is substantially the same as the transverse horizontal profile of the inner surface of the tailgate in the area of attachment of the blind. The roller blind can be tensioned either horizontally to form an opaque luggage compartment cover or vertically to form a partition between the passenger and luggage compartments both in the rear seat backrest in the utility and in the forward tilt position. The advantage of this design is the lower price of only one necessary roller shutter and its lower weight, facilitating the handling of the cassette and the backrest.

Exemplary embodiments

The vehicle is equipped with a tailgate 2 for accessing the luggage compartment i. The rear seats are a folding seat 4 and a folding backrest 3. In the area of the upper rear edge of the backrest 3 is mounted a cassette 5 in which the blind 6 is wound. the blinds are provided on the inside of the rear hinged wall 2, in the region of the lower edge of the glass, by grips 7. Further grips for the free end 6a of the blind are formed in two places in the ceiling area 10 of the vehicle: the grips 8 are formed above the cartridge 5 in the backrests 3 in the utility position, the grips 9 above the cassette 5 with the backrests folded 3. The material of the blind 6 is strong enough to withstand the action of objects thrown forward from the luggage compartment during a severe deceleration, e.g. The roller blind winding device in the cassette, not shown here, is provided with a spring mechanism for rewinding and tensioning the shutter, and is provided with a latch system blocking the shutter during rapid withdrawal, similar to the self-winding safety belts. In a preferred embodiment, the interior surface of the ceiling 10 has substantially the same vertical cross-sectional profile at the tabs 8, 9 as the profile of the inner surface of the rear hinged wall 2 at the tabs 7 in the horizontal transverse direction. The free end 6a of the shutter has a shape corresponding to this profile, thereby perfectly fitting it both in the vertical and in the horizontal position of the blind (see Figures 4 and 5).
