Un artículo compuesto reforzado con fibras útil para la eliminación de contaminantes que comprende al menos una capa única de un material compuesto reforzado con fibras que tiene (a) al menos una primera región libre de fibras de polímero que contiene material adaptado para eliminar contaminantes, (b) al menos una segunda región rica en fibras de polímero que contiene material de refuerzo de fibras; y (c) al menos una tercera región límite de polímero que contiene una porción de la primera región libre de fibras de polímero y una porción de la segunda región rica en fibras de polímero; un proceso para fabricar el artículo compuesto reforzado con fibras; y un proceso para eliminar contaminantes de un fluido líquido usando el artículo compuesto reforzado con fibras.
