如图1所示，本实用新型提供了一种协助背单词的卡片，包括卡片本体1、套环4和挡片5，卡片本体1左上部设置有条形窗口2，卡片本体1右下部设置有条形窗口3，套环4设置于卡片本体1右下部条形窗口3的左侧，挡片5可以穿入套环4在右下部条形窗口3上方滑动。卡片使用时，可以左右滑动挡片5到刚好露出中文解释而遮挡住英文单词的位置，这样就可以很方便的默写背诵单词，当默写或背诵完成后，可以将卡片下移，此时，英文单词会从卡片本体1左上角的条形窗口2中露出，可以对照检验默写单词的正确性。
