技术领域
本发明涉及润滑油组合物,及其制备和应用。更具体的说,本发明涉及一种为得到低硫、低灰、低磷含量完全调和油用的油溶性润滑添加剂包。
背景技术
内燃机会产生污染环境的排放物。由于相关规定越来越多,环境意识日益提高,发动机制造商已经意识到减少发动机排放物的必要性。为减少尾气排放,制造商已经开始使用颗粒物捕集器和催化转化器。然而,用于发动机的润滑油常常对一些设备如催化转化器和颗粒物捕集器产生不利影响。例如,存在于润滑油中的磷据信会影响催化效率。而且,存在于润滑油中的硫,在氧化和中和后可能会生成堵塞尾气捕集器的硫酸盐,从而阻碍它们氧化和燃烧捕集的有机颗粒物。因此,发动机制造商需要硫、灰分、磷的含量更低的润滑油。
本发明的一个目的在于提供了一种油溶性润滑添加剂包,此添加剂包能够用来配制用于汽油发动机或柴油发动机的低硫、低灰、低磷含量的润滑油。另外,本发明的第二个目的在于提供了一种含有最小限度硫、灰、磷含量的润滑油。
另外,本发明的另一个目的在于提供一种机器运动部件的润滑方法。
发明内容
一般地,在此提供一种油溶性润滑油添加剂包,包括至少一种总碱度范围为约120至约360的高碱性金属羧酸盐和至少一种清洁剂。其中高碱性金属羧酸盐与清洁剂的重量比范围为约1∶1到3∶1。
在一种实施方案中,至少一种清洁剂选自磺酸钙、磺酸镁、磺酸钠、非硫化苯酚盐、硫化苯酚盐、水杨酸盐、高碱性水杨醇及它们的组合物。在另一实例中,油溶性润滑油添加剂的硫含量和磷含量足以使生产出的润滑油中硫含量低于约0.3wt%,磷含量低于约0.11wt%。而在另一实例中,至少一种高碱性金属羧酸盐是高碱性金属油酸盐,或选自高碱性油酸钙和高碱性油酸镁。
一般地,公开了一种润滑发动机曲轴箱的方法,包括:至少将部分含有上述油溶性润滑添加剂包的润滑剂注入曲轴箱。
一般地,公开了一种润滑机械运动部件的方法,包括:至少将一个运动部件与上述油溶性润滑添剂包接触。
一般地,提供了一种油溶性润滑油添加剂包,包括一种总碱度范围为约120至约360的高碱性金属羧酸盐;至少一种分散剂,其中高碱性金属羧酸盐与分散剂的重量比范围为约1∶4到约1∶12。
此处的油溶性润滑添加剂包能够,例如,使用分子量至少为500的分散剂。然而,此处使用的分散剂可以具有约1000到约6000的分子量。
另外,在一个实施例中,至少一种分散剂是已经与聚胺反应过的马来酸酐官能化的聚异丁烯聚合物。在另一实施例中,至少一种分散剂是曼尼期(Mannich)反应的产物。另外,至少一种分散剂可以是乙烯丙烯共聚物型分散剂。
此处的油溶性润滑添加剂包制剂另外可包括至少一种下列组分:粘度指数改进剂和降凝剂。

本申请也包括含有此处公开的油溶性润滑添加剂包的润滑油。在一个实施方式中,润滑油的总碱度小于约10,且具有选自硫含量小于约6.0w%,磷含量小于约0.11wt%和灰质含量小于约1.2wt%的至少一种特性。

具体实施方式
按照上面概述,下文将对本发明的优选实施方案进行详细描述,到目前为止,其被认为是或包括最佳操作模式。
我们首先对应用于本发明的不同组分进行讨论,然后我们将描述基于本发明的油溶性添加剂包的润滑油制剂,最后,我们将本发明的润滑油制剂与用于CAT 1N发动机测试的对比制剂进行对比。
基础油
此处有用的基础油包括天然润滑油、合成润滑油及它们的混合物。适用的润滑油还包括通过对合成石蜡和含油蜡异构化得到的基本原料,以及芳烃和原油极性组分加氢裂化生产的基本原料。通常,尽管常规应用需要基础油在100℃时的粘度范围为约1到约12mm2/s(cSt),优选2到8mm2/s(cSt)(100℃),但每种天然润滑油和合成润滑油的运动粘度范围为约1到约40mm2/s(cSt)(100℃)。
天然润滑油包括动物油、植物油(如蓖麻油、猪油)、石油、矿物油和从煤或页岩中得到的油,优选的天然润滑油是矿物油。
此处有用的矿物油包括所有常见的矿物油基本原料。它也包括化学结构为环烷基或石蜡基的油。油品用酸、碱、及粘土或其它制剂(如氯化铝)等通过常规方法进行精制,或萃取得到,如用苯酚、二氧化硫、糠醛、二氯乙醚等溶剂进行萃取。这些油品可以进行加氢处理或加氢精制,冷却脱蜡或催化脱蜡等工艺,或进行加氢裂化。矿物油可由天然原料制得,或由异构化石蜡或其它炼制工艺得到的渣油组成。在一个优选实施方案中,具有润滑粘度的油是经过加氢、加氢裂化和/或异构脱蜡的矿物油,其粘度指数(VI)大于80,优选大于90;饱和度大于90vol%且硫含量小于0.03wt%。
组II和组III基本原料尤其适用于本发明。典型地如下制备,使常规原料通过苛刻的加氢工艺,降低了芳烃、硫和氮的含量,然后经过脱蜡,加氢补充精制,萃取和/或蒸馏,得到最终的基础油。组II和III基本原料与常规溶剂精制的组I基本原料的不同在于它们的硫、氮、和芳烃含量都很低。因此,这些基础油在组成上与常规溶剂精制的基础油很不同。美国石油协会对这些不同基本原料类型进行了如下分类:组I,硫>0.03wt%,和/或饱和度<90vol%,粘度指数为80-120;组II,硫≤0.03wt%,饱和度≥90vol%,粘度指数为80-120;组III,硫≤0.03wt%,饱和度≥90vol%,粘度指数>120;组IV,聚α-烯烃。因为加氢处理和催化脱蜡基本原料的硫含量和芳烃含量低,常会归入组II和组III。
本发明中使用的不同基本原料的化学组成并不受限制。如,组I、组II和组III油中的芳烃、烷烃、环烷烃的比例可能相差很大。精制程度和用于生产油的原料决定了其组成。
在一个优选实施方式中,基础油包含VI至少为110的矿物油。
润滑油可能由精制油、再精制油或两者的混合物得到。未精制油可由天然源或合成源(如煤、页岩、或油沙沥青)不加提纯或处理直接得到。未提炼油包括可直接通过甑馏操作得到的页岩油、直接蒸馏得到的石油、或直接从酯化反应得到的酯类油,他们都未经过进一步处理就可以加以使用。除了精制油进行过一次或多次纯化步骤以改善一种或多种性能外,其与未精制油类似。适合的纯化技术包括蒸馏、加氢处理、脱蜡、溶剂萃取、酸或碱萃取、过滤和渗滤,这些都为本领域技术人员所熟知。再精制油是通过对废油进行类似于精制油生产采用的处理得到的。这些再精制油也称作回收或再加工油,通常还要经过附加处理以除去失效的添加剂和油品分解产物。
合成润滑油包括烃油和卤代烃油,如烯烃的低聚物、聚合物、内聚;烷基苯;聚苯;烷基化二苯醚,烷基化二苯硫醚,及其衍生物、类似物、同系物等。优选合成油是α-烯烃的低聚物,尤其优选1-癸烯低聚物,其粘度范围在约1至约12,优选2-8mm2/s(cSt)(100℃)。这些低聚物称作聚α-烯烃或PAOs。
合成润滑油也包括氧化烯聚合物、内聚物、共聚物和他们的衍生物。其中的衍生物中,聚氧化烯的末端羟基通过酯化反应和醚化反应等而发生改性。这类合成油可通过聚氧化烯聚合物,其通过环氧乙烷和环氧丙烷聚合反应得到;这些聚氧化烯聚合物的烷基和芳基醚(如甲基-聚异丙二醇醚,平均分子量为1000,聚丙二醇的二苯醚,平均分子量为100-1500);及其单-和聚-羧酸酯(如乙酸乙酯,C3-C8脂肪酸酯混合物,四甘醇的C12含氧酸二酯)来举例说明。
另一类适用的合成油包括二羧酸(如酞酸、琥珀酸、烷基琥珀酸、烯基琥珀酸、马来酸、壬二酸、辛二酸、癸二酸、富马酸、己二酸、亚油酸二聚物、丙二酸、烷基丙二酸、烯基丙二酸等等)与不同的醇(如丁醇、己醇、十二醇、2-乙基己醇、乙二醇、二乙二醇单醚、丙二醇等等)生成的酯。这些酯的具体例子包括己二酸二丁酯、癸二酸二2-乙基己酯、富马酸二己酯、癸二酸二辛酯、壬二酸二异辛酯、壬二酸二异癸酯、间本二甲酸二辛酯、邻苯二甲酸二癸酯、癸二酸二(二十烷基)酯、亚油酸二聚体的2-乙基己二酯,以及由1摩尔癸二酸与2摩尔四甘醇以及2摩尔2-乙基-己酸反应生成的复杂酯等。这类合成油中优选C4-C12醇类的己二酸酯。
用作合成润滑油的酯类还包括C5-C12单羧酸和多元醇以及多元醇醚(比如新戊二醇、三羟甲基丙烷、季戊四醇、二季戊四醇、三季戊四醇等等)制得的酯类。
硅油(如多烷基-、聚芳基-、聚烷氧基-、或聚芳氧基-硅氧烷油和硅酸酯油)构成另一类实用的合成润滑油。这些油包括:硅酸四乙酯、硅酸四异丙酯、硅酸四(2-乙基己基)酯、硅酸四(4-甲基-2-乙基己基)酯、硅酸四(对叔丁基苯基)酯、六(4-甲基-2-戊烷氧基)二硅氧烷、聚(甲基)硅氧烷和聚甲(甲基苯基)硅氧烷等等。其它合成润滑油包括含磷酸的液态酯(如磷酸三甲苯酯、磷酸三辛酯、癸基膦酸二乙酯),聚四氢呋喃、聚α-烯烃等等。
高碱性金属羧酸盐
此处的油溶性润滑添加剂包包含至少一种酸性有机化合物的金属盐。这些盐通常是高碱性物质或高碱性金属盐。高碱性物质可以是单相均相牛顿流体,其特征在于其金属含量超过了根据金属以及与金属反应的特定有机酸进行化学计量计算得出的含量。
超出的金属量通常以金属比来表示。金属比是指金属总当量与酸性有机化合物当量的比。中性金属盐的金属比等于1。金属含量是正常盐类4.5倍的盐超过了3.5倍当量金属,金属比为4.5。
在此处的一个实施方案中应用的高碱性金属盐是通过酸(通常为无机酸或低级羧酸,优选二氧化碳)与含酸性有机化合物的混合物反应得到的,反应介质包括至少一种惰性有机溶剂(矿物油、石脑油、甲苯、二甲苯等)用以溶解酸性有机化合物,超过化学计量值的金属碱和助催化剂。
此处用于制备高碱性组合物的金属包括,例如镁和钙,以及其它合适或理想的金属或金属混合物。
此处用于制备高碱性组合物所用的酸性化合物包括,例如羧酸。羧酸可以是脂肪族酸或者芳香族酸,单-或聚-羧酸,或者产酸的化合物。这些羧酸可以包括低分子量羧酸(如碳原子数约为22羧酸,诸如碳原子数为约4到约22,或者四丙烯基取代的琥珀酸酐)和高分子量羧酸。
羧酸优选油溶性的。一般地,为了保证提供所需的油溶性,羧酸中的碳原子个数至少为约8,较优选至少约18,更优选至少约30,甚至更优选至少约50。通常,这些羧酸的每个分子中的碳原子个数不超过约400。
用于此处的低分子量单羧酸包括饱和酸和不饱和酸。此类可用羧酸包括十二(烷)酸、癸酸、油酸、硬脂酸、亚油酸、妥尔油酸等等。两种或两种以上这些试剂的混合物也可使用。
特别适用于此处的高碱性油酸钙盐是PLASTISTAB 2265,可以从美国俄亥俄州西湖的OMG Americas公司购买。

清净剂
清净剂是一种可以降低发动机中的活塞沉积物的添加剂,例如高温漆膜及漆状沉积物的形成。清净剂通常具有中和酸的性能,可以使细小的颗粒物保持悬浮。金属清净剂优选用于提高最后所得润滑油的中和酸性能、高温清净性和抗磨性能。
本发明使用的清净剂可以是润滑油制剂中的任何清净剂,可以是生灰型或无灰型的。本发明适用的清净剂包括润滑油中常用的所有清净剂,也包括金属清净剂。典型的金属清净剂选自碱金属或碱土金属的磺酸盐、碱金属或碱土金属的苯酚盐、碱金属或碱土金属的水杨酸盐。
适用于本发明的清净剂的典型示例可见于美国专利USA6,008,166。另一典型样例可以在申请号为2002/0142922A1,2002/0004069A1和2002/0147115A1的美国专利中得到。上述文献的公开内容在此引入作为参考。
分散剂
本发明使用的分散剂可以是生灰型或无灰型的。在此适用的分散剂一般包括胺、醇、酰胺或极性端通过桥基连接于聚合物骨架上的酯。例如,分散剂可以,例如,选自油溶性盐、酯、氨基酯、酰胺、酰亚胺、长链烃取代的单和二羧酸或其酸酐的恶唑啉,长链烃硫代羧酸酯的衍生物、直接连有多胺的长链脂肪烃、通过长链取代的苯酚与甲醛缩合和聚烯基多胺生成的曼尼奇缩合产物以及科赫反应产物。
适用于本发明的具有代表性的分散剂见于美国专利5,075,383;5,139,688;5,238,588和6,107,257。其它典型示例见于美国专利申请公开号为2001/0036906A1的描述。上述文献的公开内容在此引入作为参考。
抗氧化剂
适合做抗氧化剂的物质有油溶性的酚类化合物、油溶性的硫化有机化合物、油溶性胺抗氧化剂、油溶性有机硼酸盐油溶性有亚磷酸盐、油溶性有机磷酸盐、油溶性有机二硫代磷酸盐及这些物质的混合物。优选这样的抗氧化剂不含金属(就是没有会生成硫酸盐灰分的金属),因此最优选无灰型抗氧化剂(根据ASTM D874方法测定,硫酸盐灰分不大于1wt.%SASH)。
此外,二硫代磷酸锌盐是熟知的抗氧化剂。优选的二硫代磷酸锌盐的具体例子是:二丙基二硫代磷酸锌、二丁基二硫代磷酸锌、二戊基二硫代磷酸锌、二己基二硫代磷酸锌、二庚基二硫代磷酸锌、二辛基二硫代磷酸锌,其中的烷基可以是直链也可以有支链,和它们的混合物。另外,在一个分子中具有不同碳数(3到8个碳原子)或结构烷基的二烷基二硫代磷酸锌盐也可以使用。

抗磨剂
摩擦改性剂用来使润滑油组合物具有适当的磨擦性能。
在此润滑油组合物中有效的摩擦改性剂包括脂肪胺或乙氧基化脂肪胺、脂肪族酰胺、脂肪族羧酸、脂肪族羧酸的多元醇酯,诸如油酸甘油酯之类的脂肪酸甘油酯、脂肪族羧酸酯酰胺、脂肪族膦酸酯、脂肪族磷酸酯、脂肪族硫代膦酸酯、脂肪族硫代磷酸酯等,其中的脂肪族基团通常约有8个以上的碳原子,以保证化合物具有合适的油溶性。通过一个或多个脂肪族琥珀酸或酸酐与氨反应生成的脂肪族取代的琥珀酰亚胺也可以。此外,在此适用的为含钼摩擦改性剂,包括但不局限于钼的羧酸盐、氨基甲酸盐/二硫代氨基甲酸盐、酰胺等物质。含钼摩擦改性剂的典型样例可见于美国专利5,650,381、RE37,363E、5,628,802、4,889,647、5,412,130、4,786,423、4,812,246、5,137,647、5,364,545、5,840,672、5,925,600、5,962,377、5,994,227、6,017,858、6,150,309、6,174,842、6,187,723、6,268,316;欧洲专利EP222 143B1、EP281992B1、EP719 314B1、EP719 315B1、EP874 040A1、EP892 037A1、EP931 827A1、EP1 041 134A1、EP1 041 135A1、EP1 087 008A1、EP1 088 882A1;日本专利JP1 1035961;国际公开号为WO 95/07%5、WO 00/08120、WO 00/71649的专利。

粘度指数改进剂
粘度指数改进剂可以改善润滑油的高低温工作性能,在高温时维持一定粘度而在低温时呈现可以接受的粘度或流动性。粘度指数改进剂一般是大分子量烃类聚合物,包括聚酯。粘度指数改进剂也可以衍生包含其它的性能和功能,如添加分散性能。通过凝胶渗透色谱法或渗透压测定法测定,这些油溶性粘度调节聚合物的数均分子量通常在103到106之间,优选104到106。
用于此处的粘度指数改进剂包括聚甲基丙烯酸酯为基础的物质、烯烃共聚物为基础的物质(如异丁烯为基础和乙烯-丙烯共聚物为基础的物质)、多烷基苯乙烯为基础的物质、氢化苯乙烯-丁二烯共聚物为基础的物质、苯乙烯-马来酸酐酯共聚物为基础的物质。

降凝剂

CAT 1N发动机测试结果
CAT 1N发动机测试方法普遍用于评估履带式机器中重型柴油发动机油的合格性。此测试使用一个单缸、铝活塞柴油发动机。一种润滑油化合物的合格性基于以下参数:平均油耗、活塞沉积物、%顶端槽纹填充率、%顶端环槽重碳率。此外,为了通过CAT 1N测试,不允许存在任何活塞卡滞、活塞环或衬套损坏的情况。
为了测定本发明添加剂的效能,将包含由烷基苯酚和多胺发生曼尼奇反应而生成的非硫化苯酚盐的对比制剂与用高碱性油酸钙盐在原低硫、低灰质、低磷的15W-40车用机油中代替非硫化苯酚盐的制剂进行了比较。

从上表可以看出,在CAT 1N测试中,本发明制剂表现良好。采用本发明制剂无须另外的试验,单次试验即可全部满足要求。本发明制剂的顶端槽纹填充率显著下降。而且,采用本发明制剂可以明显降低沉积物重量。本发明制剂在油消耗和测试结束时油消耗方面也优于对比制剂。这些结果证实了润滑油中添加高碱性油酸钙能改善油品性能。
尽管已结合目前被认为最实用和较优选的方案对本发明进行了描述,应该理解本发明不仅仅局限于这些公开的实施方案,相反,还应该包括在后面权利要求中要求保护的精神实质和范围内的不同程度的改进和等价的排列,在此引入作为参考。
Claims (53)
1、一种油溶性润滑添加剂包,包括:
至少一种总碱度范围为约120至约360的高碱性金属羧酸盐;和
至少一种清净剂;其中所述的高碱性金属羧酸盐与所述的清净剂的重量比为约1∶1至约3∶1。
2、如权利要求1所述的油溶性润滑添加剂包,其中所述的油溶性润滑添加剂包的硫含量和磷含量要足够低,以产生硫含量小于约0.3wt%;磷含量小于约0.11wt%的润滑油。
3、如权利要求1所述的油溶性润滑添加剂包,其中至少一种所述的至少一种高碱性金属羧酸盐为高碱性金属油酸盐。
4、如权利要求3所述的油溶性润滑添加剂包,其中所述的高碱性金属油酸盐选自高碱性油酸钙和高碱性油酸镁。

提供一种油溶性润滑添加剂包,所述的油溶性润滑添加剂包包含一种总碱度范围为约120至约360的高碱性金属羧酸盐;并将所述的油溶性润滑添加剂包与一种基础油混合,形成一总碱度小于约10,且具有选自硫含量小于约0.3wt%,磷含量小于约0.11wt%,灰质含量小于约1.2wt%的至少一种特性的润滑油。
52、如权利要求51所述的获得低硫、低灰质、低磷润滑油制剂的方法,其中高碱性金属羧酸盐选自高碱性油酸钙和高碱性油酸镁。
53、如权利要求51所述的获得低硫、低灰质、低磷润滑油制剂的方法,其中油溶性润滑添加剂包另外还包括选自清净剂、分散剂、抗氧化剂、摩擦改性剂、粘度指数改进剂和降凝剂的至少一种添加剂。
