Abstract

含有至少一种热固性塑料和至少一种具有特别良好的摩擦性能的氧化的聚亚芳基硫醚的聚合物混合物。在这些混合物里所使用的氧化的聚亚芳基硫醚是聚亚芳基砜或至少10%的硫桥基已经转化为砜桥基的氧化的聚亚芳基硫醚。优选使用聚亚苯基砜。这种聚合物混合物用于制造齿轮、齿条、轴承、链子、小轮子或垫圈材料。

Description

热固性塑料和氧化的聚亚芳基硫醚的混合物
本发明涉及热固性塑料与氧化的聚亚芳基硫醚(polyarylene sulfide)的混合物,尤其是与聚亚芳基砜或含有S、SO或SO2桥基的部分氧化的聚亚芳基硫醚的混合物,并涉及使用它们生产成形塑料制品。
人们知道热固性塑料已经很长时间了。它们以其易于加工和其良好的电性能而著称。广谱的特性使它们成为多种应用的理想材料。但是,这类材料的摩擦性能是一个常见的缺点。
为了改进热固性塑料的摩擦性能,专门使用了无机填料,例如石英粉。但这对于耐化学性是不利的。
DE4 323 181 A1(=EP-A-0 633 290)和DE4 323 121 A1(=EP-A-0633 291)描述了氟聚合物和氧化的聚亚芳基硫醚的混合物,其中氟聚合物的磨耗性能通过加入氧化的聚亚芳基硫醚而提高了。欧洲专利申请EP-A-0 801 109描述了热塑性塑料和氧化的聚亚芳基硫醚的混合物,其中热塑性塑料的磨耗性能通过加入氧化的聚亚芳基硫醚而提高了。
本发明提供含有至少一种热固性塑料(A)和至少一种氧化的聚亚芳基硫醚(B)的聚合物混合物。在这种聚合物混合物里热固性塑料的比例一般是10~99.9%重量,优选50~99%重量,特别是80%~99%重量。在这种聚合物混合物里氧化的聚亚芳基硫醚的比例一般是0.1~90%重量,优选1~50%重量,特别是1~20%重量。
已经发现,将氧化的聚亚芳基硫醚,特别是聚亚芳基砜加入到热固性塑料里改进了其摩擦性能。这着实令人惊异,因为热固性塑料具有与热塑性塑料完全不同的物理和化学性能。例如,热塑性塑料是能够按照其加工步骤再次熔融的聚合物,而热固性塑料在它们转化为模制品后不能再熔融。

氧化的聚亚芳基硫醚是直链或支链的聚亚芳基硫醚,它们中的一部分或所有硫基已经转化为亚砜和/或砜基。氧化的聚亚芳基硫醚和它们的制备在德国专利申请DE43 14 737和DE43 14 738中有描述,这篇文献在本文中用作参考。对于本发明,氧化的聚亚芳基硫醚是指聚亚芳基砜、聚亚芳基亚砜砜、聚亚芳基硫醚砜和聚亚芳基硫醚亚砜砜,其中通常至少10%,优选至少30%而特别优选至少60%的硫桥基已经转化为砜桥基。特别优选的氧化的聚亚芳基硫醚是氧化的聚亚苯基硫醚。
氧化的聚亚芳基硫醚对热和化学药品特别稳定并且在热固性塑料加工条件下高度稳定。氧化的聚亚芳基硫醚在热固性塑料中的性能就象填料一样,即它们不熔融。
本发明的这种氧化的聚亚芳基硫醚的平均粒径(d50)一般在0.1~500μm的范围内,优选1~300μm,特别优选5~50μm。
本发明的混合物是采用标准的方法在适于这个目的的混合机中由单个组分制备的,然后再采用已知的技术(例如铸塑、热固性塑料注射成型、传递模塑)进行加工。
本发明的混合物可以含有传统的添加剂,例如热稳定剂、UV稳定剂、抗静电剂、阻燃剂、染料、颜料、无机和/或有机填料,还有润滑添加剂,例如二硫化钼、石墨或聚四氟乙烯。
混合物里加入润滑剂减少了摩擦系数。低磨耗性和低摩擦系数的结合通常是有利的。
这种混合物作为在要求低磨耗和低蠕变应用中的材料是有利的,例如滑动轴承或垫圈材料,以及作为电子元件的护套材料或包装材料。
这种混合物适于用来制造成型的塑料部件,例如齿轮、齿条、轴承、链条、辊子、小轮子或垫圈。
制备聚亚苯基砜(PPSO2):
将63kg Tg为94℃和Tm为290℃的聚亚苯基硫醚粉末(d50:20μm)作为原料加到50℃的219l冰醋酸中,加入1.2l浓硫酸,在3小时内滴加91kg过氧化氢(50%),其间温度升至60~65℃。在随后的在65℃2小时以及在80℃1小时的搅拌期之后,将反应溶液冷却和在50℃抽吸过滤,固体产物用水洗涤和干燥。产量:70kg;
DSC数据:Tg:352℃,Tm:520℃(分解)
元素分析:(C6H4SO2)n;C:55.6%,H:3.2%,S:24.6%,O:16.0%。这些结果相应于在聚合物中硫的氧化度约为65%。
这种混合物的组分—含有树脂和硬化剂的热固性塑料(A)和聚亚苯基砜(B)—在室温用一个搅拌装置混合,然后在热固性塑料的常规条件下加工成4mm厚的片材。试样从固化的片材上锯制而成。试样的摩擦性能在试样制备后直接测定。
摩擦数据在一个针-盘试验装置上测定。在这个装置中,测试针夹在弯曲棒下端的一个夹架上。应变测量条安装在弯曲棒上,用于测量法向力和摩擦力。产生法向力的砝码固定在弯曲棒的顶端。测试针垂直压到硬化钢(100Cr6,洛氏硬度HRC>50)制成的转动摩擦盘上。在每次试验之前测量摩擦盘的表面粗糙度。盘的速度保持恒定。由于磨蚀的结果,塑料针与棒一起朝下朝磨耗表面移动。借助于感应式位移传感器测量朝下的移动。数据联机依序整理并且可以用计算机计算。
1、环氧树脂(EP)和PPSO2的混合物:
使用的环氧树脂是Araldit CW 2215(一种60%矿物填充的EP树脂),Araldit CY219(一种未填充的EP树脂)和Araldit HY5161(一种未填充的EP硬化剂)。所有的Araldits可以从Ciba-GeigyGmbH,Wehr/Baden,FR Germany获得。
所用的PPSO2是在“制备聚亚苯基砜(PPSO2)”段落里规定的产品。其平均粒径是20μm。

Claims (10)

1、一种聚合物混合物,包含至少一种热固性塑料和至少一种氧化的聚亚芳基硫醚。
2、如权利要求1的聚合物混合物,其中热固性塑料使用醇酸树脂、酚醛树脂、不饱和聚酯树脂、环氧树脂、可固化的硅氧烷树脂、脲-甲醛或三聚氰胺-甲醛树脂制备。
3、如权利要求1或2的聚合物混合物,其中至少一种氧化的或部分氧化的聚亚芳基硫醚或聚亚芳基砜用作氧化的聚亚芳基硫醚,至少10%,优选至少30%而特别优选至少60%的硫桥基已经转化为砜桥基。
4、如权利要求1~3中一项或多项的聚合物混合物,其中至少一种氧化的或部分氧化的聚亚苯基硫醚或聚亚苯基砜用作氧化的聚亚芳基硫醚,至少10%,优选至少30%而特别优选至少60%的硫桥基已经转化为砜桥基。
5、如权利要求1~4中一项或多项的聚合物混合物,它含有0.1~90%重量,优选1~50%重量,特别是1~20%重量的氧化的聚亚芳基硫醚。

9、如权利要求1~7中一项或多项的聚合物混合物的应用,用于制造齿轮、齿条、轴承、链条、辊子、小轮子或垫圈材料。
10、一种制造成型塑料部件的方法,包括在一个混合器里将至少一种醇酸树脂、酚醛树脂、不饱和聚酯树脂、可固化的硅氧烷树脂、脲-甲醛或三聚氰胺-甲醛树脂和至少一种氧化的或部分氧化的聚亚芳基硫醚或聚亚芳基砜混合,其中至少10%的硫桥基已经转化为砜桥基,添加有或不添加热稳定剂、抗静电剂、阻燃剂、染料、颜料、填料或润滑剂,从而得到一种聚合物混合物,并且由这种聚合物混合物通过铸塑、传递模塑或热固性塑料注射成型制造模制品。
