技术领域
本发明涉及用来润湿亲水导尿管的润湿设备,它包括润湿容器和亲水导尿管润湿液贮器:润湿容器限定一润湿液接受区,该区是用来接受亲水导尿管的;润湿液贮器上具有排出口,当在其上施加预定的条件时,排出口就从关闭状态转向开启状态,就能使润湿液从润湿液贮器中排入润湿液接受区来润湿亲水导尿管。本发明还涉及可用于这种润湿设备的一种流体贮器。
背景技术
一些病人例如泌尿系统狭窄或损伤以及瘫痪病人广泛使用着间歇性自行插入导管的手术,以使病人生活得接近于日常生活。供间歇性自行插入用的导尿管通常都需要一种涂在导尿管外表面上的润滑剂以便于插入尿道。例如,亲水导尿管具有亲水的外表面涂层,该涂层需用一种流体如水或盐水润湿一段时间加以润滑然后再插入病人尿道。
过去已有人建议过各种各样的润滑导尿管的方法,见下述例子。
在先美国专利5209726公开了一种自行润滑导尿管和自行插入的方法。导尿管上具有一个围绕内管的环形润滑剂贮器,在其内管上开有多个孔洞。当导尿管被插入病人尿道时,润滑剂被从贮器中挤进内管,并通过导尿管上的排出口进入尿道。因此,只是当导尿管被插入病人尿道后才进行导尿管外表面的润滑,其结果是病人至少在插入导尿管的最初会感到不适。
在先美国专利3967728公开了一种导尿管组件,它包括一根导尿管和一只可破裂的盛有润滑剂的囊。该囊的一个边缘位于组件内部靠近导尿管顶端处,该边缘制作成在囊被挤压时即可破裂,从而可润滑导尿管的顶端。由于只有导尿管的顶端被润湿,因此病人在往尿道中插入导尿管时仍需忍受不适。
在先英国专利申请公开2284764公开了一种导尿管和集尿袋组件,它包括(i)一根导尿管,其上具有一个带有圆形顶端的杆件,该顶端上有一个排出孔,杆件的后部有一张开部分;以及(ii)一个集尿袋,其中放有导尿管,在集尿袋前端做成一个孔,孔的大小是足够通过导尿管的顶端和杆件但能箝制住导尿管的张开部分形成机械密封以防漏尿。一旦导尿管通过孔而延伸出来,就是已准备好可以插入病人尿道。尿从病人的膀胱通过导尿管向后输出以收集在集尿袋中。该专利介绍说,可有一个单独的可爆裂的盛有润滑物质的容器包括在集尿袋中以便润滑导尿管。但对此容器的结构和在导尿管上如何配置都没有具体述及。
本申请人在先的国际专利申请公开WO 86/06284公开了一种亲水导尿管的润湿和贮存设备。它有一个一端封闭的润湿袋,这样它可以充注润湿液,然后把亲水导尿管导入其中进行润湿。但是,在该设备中没有配备液体容器,以便在临使用导尿管前往袋中泄放润湿液。因此,润湿液不得不由病人另外输入袋中。这是不方便的,因为病人不一定手头就有无菌的润湿液,同时很明显地,润湿液有溢漏的可能。
上述的迄今所建议的导尿管润滑设备都有一项缺点,就是对亲水导尿管没有提供润滑或提供的润滑不足。举例说,美国专利3967728或英国专利2284764所公开的润滑设施是为非亲水性的导尿管用的,因此润滑剂是不适用于亲水导尿管的凝胶。因此,现有的润滑装置没有能给亲水导尿管提供出整体的润湿液润滑,更谈不上在把导尿管插入病人尿道以前给亲水导尿管整体地提供润湿液使得亲水导尿管的可插入长度或基本上可插入长度都获得润湿了。
由此可见,使用亲水导尿管的病人要求能有改进的润滑导尿管的设备。因此,提供本发明来满足这一要求。
发明内容
本发明的第一方面是提供一种用来润湿亲水导尿管的润湿设备,它包括润湿容器和亲水导尿管润湿液贮器。润湿容器限定一润湿液接受区,该区是用来接受亲水导尿管的;润湿液贮器上具有排出口,当在其上施加预定的条件时,排出口就从关闭状态转向开启状态,就能使润湿液从润湿液贮器中排出,在操作状态下,润湿液贮器是与润湿容器形成一个整体的,在该状态下,至少润湿液贮器的排出口是配置在润湿容器的边界以内的,润湿容器的构造和润湿液贮器在操作状态下相对于润湿容器的配置,应使得当在操作状态下在润湿液贮器的排出口上施加预定的条件时,就能使润湿液排入润湿液接受区来润湿亲水导尿管,而润湿液接受区设计成能使亲水导尿管的可插入长度或基本上可插入长度都能被排入润湿液接受区的润湿液所润湿。
“形成一个整体”意指润湿液贮器和润湿容器被做成一个整体的单元,亦即润湿液贮器系被支持在润湿容器上或其附近。
这样一来,病人就可得到随时可取用的亲水导尿管润滑剂,而且也减轻了润湿液可能溢漏的问题。另外,由于导尿管的可插入长度或基本上可插入长度都在插入前被润滑了,因此插入尿道时的舒适度就增加了。
本发明的第二方面是提供一种用来润湿亲水导尿管的润湿设备,它包括润湿容器和亲水导尿管润湿液贮器。润湿容器限定一润湿液接受区,该区是用来接受亲水导尿管的;润湿液贮器上具有排出口,当在其上施加预定的条件时,排出口就从关闭状态转向开启状态,就能使润湿液从润湿液贮器中排出,在操作状态下,润湿液贮器是与润湿容器形成一个整体的,在该状态下,至少润湿液贮器的排出口是配置在润湿容器的边界以内的,润湿容器的构造和润湿液贮器在操作状态下相对于润湿容器的配置,使得当在操作状态下在润湿液贮器的排出口上施加预定的条件时,就能使润湿液排入润湿液接受区来润湿亲水导尿管。在此情况下,润湿液可能溢漏的问题也减轻了,该设备的生产、包装和运输也简化了。
在本发明的一个优选实施方案中,润湿液是水或盐水溶液。
在下面描述的本发明的一个实施方案中,润湿液接受区是一个细长袋,其长度是以容纳下至少亲水导尿管的可插入长度,而润湿液贮器则设计成能贮存足够的润湿液,能把细长袋充注到能至少润湿亲水导尿管的可插入长度的高度。
在下面描述的本发明的一个优选实施方案中,润湿容器是集尿袋,细长袋是集尿袋的前部,细长袋的后端是开口的,前端的封口被弄薄,当在其上施加预定的压力时,前端的封口就被除去,从而使亲水导尿管的一部分、至少是可插入长度的部分在被润湿后通过细长袋的前端伸出而插入病人的尿道,同时,集尿袋在细长袋的后部还包括有集尿室,集尿室的前端与细长袋的开口后端之间流体相通,集尿室是用来在亲水导尿管插入病人尿道后收集通过导尿管向后输来的尿的。
可用来给本发明的润湿设备消毒的典型消毒剂为环氧乙烷。另外液体贮器中的液体在正常情况下应该是无菌的。因此,润湿液贮器优选是用不能渗透或基本上不能渗透环氧乙烷的材料来制作,同时该材料也要不能渗透贮存在其中的液体。当液体为水或盐水时满足这一条件的材料的非限制性例子有铝箔、聚偏二氯乙烯或者镀金属的薄膜如镀金属的聚对苯二甲酸乙二醇酯。
在下面描述的本发明的一个实施方案中,润湿液贮器是完全被容纳在润湿容器的边界以内的,并可永久性地固定在润湿容器的内表面上。

本发明的优点是提供了一种易于操作的安全、紧凑、无菌、可随意使用的亲水导尿管润湿设备。这是由于本设备提供了能与润湿容器组件合作的润湿液贮器组件,从而能在清洁的条件下将贮器中的液体泄放到润湿容器中来润湿放在那里的亲水导尿管,也就是说在润湿过程中不需要接触导尿管、液体或润湿容器的内表面,从而避免或减轻导致污染的危险。

具体实施方式
首先参看图1,图中示出本发明的润湿设备10,它包括一个用透明柔性材料做的集尿袋1。在集尿袋1的前端有一个细长袋2,其长度足以容纳亲水导尿管3的至少是可插入长度。集尿袋1中细长袋2的后端有一集尿室12,集尿室与细长袋2流体相通。再往后是集尿袋1的入口14,亲水导尿管3可通过该入口引入袋中。
可以看到,导尿管3包括张开的后部16和细长杆18,该杆从后部16向前延伸,前端尽头为一圆形端头4。导尿管3设有从后部16的开口端延伸到端头4上的排出孔5的腔(图中未示)。
小袋6形式的贮器被固定在集尿袋1的内表面上。小袋6内贮存有无菌的水或盐水或其它适于润湿亲水导尿管的流体,小袋6是可以弄破或用其它方法例如用手加压的方法来开启的,这样就可在临使用导尿管3以前把基本上全部所贮存的水或盐水泄放到细长袋2中。
典型的做法是,带有整体化的小袋6的集尿袋1,以及与集尿袋1预包括在一起的导尿管3系用环氧乙烷来消毒。由于小袋6贮存的是无菌水或盐水,因此小袋6的内容物不需再消毒。相应地,小袋6的材料优选是不能渗透环氧乙烷和水的材料。符合这些要求的材料的非限制性例子有聚偏二氯乙烯(PVDC)、铝箔层合物和镀金属的薄膜、如镀金属的聚对苯二甲酸乙二醇酯。当然,也可用其它消毒方法来代替,例如用辐照的方法,在此情况下,小袋6内的流体也会与装置10的其它组件同时被就地消毒。
小袋6的容量足以在临使用前往细长袋2中泄放出能润湿导尿管3的可插入长度的水或盐水。“可插入长度”意指细长杆18涂有亲水材料如PVP并插入病人尿道的至少的那段长度。典型的长度是,对女病人来说,为80~140mm,对男病人来说为200~350mm。
导尿管3在细长袋2中保持的时间可长可短,但典型的保持时间为30秒。
小袋6在集尿袋1中的放置位置不甚严格,只要小袋6能把它的内容物泄放入细长袋2中即可。然而,优选的是把小袋6布置在尽可能靠近细长袋2的开口端。在本实施方案中,小袋6是永久性地固定在集尿袋1内的位置上,例如粘结在集尿袋1上。但是,小袋6若实际上能在集尿袋1内自由移动将是值得赞赏的。根本的一点是小袋6应存在于集尿袋1的边界之内,这样,就使两个组件构成一个整体化的单元。
在使用时,导尿管3通过入口14被引入集尿袋1中,细长杆18被操纵进入细长袋2中,如图所示。然后把入口14例如用绳子打结或夹夹子的办法封闭起来。然后小袋6被例如用通过集尿袋的材料给小袋加压的办法打开,使润湿液泄放入细长袋2中,让导尿管在润湿液中浸泡预定的时间以润湿导尿管的亲水外表面。
另一种办法是,集尿袋1的入口处做成封闭端而把导尿管预包装在袋内。但当用环氧乙烷作消毒剂时,优选是有入口14,因为入口可给环氧乙烷进入集尿袋1提供通道。
在导尿管3被润湿预定时间后,集尿袋1的上端被移向下,而细长袋2的最前端被捅破。随后导尿管3的细长杆18被操纵伸出细长袋2前端上的孔而进入病人的尿道中,直到张开的后部16与小孔形成机械密封连接为止。这样一来,就不需要直接用手拿着导尿管3来插入病人尿道,这是有好处的,因为导尿管3在润湿以后其外表面滑溜难抓,另外,也在这一阶段避免了导尿管3被污染的可能性。
病人膀胱中的尿通过导尿管3的腔被向后输入集尿室12中。然后导尿管3被操纵退回集尿袋1的内部,细长袋2的开口端则可例如用细长袋2的材料打个结或用夹子夹的办法封闭住。然后可在集尿室12上开个洞把收集的尿倒掉,此后集尿袋也被处理掉。
现参看图2和图3,其中示出本发明的另一种润湿设备110。该设备110包括一个用柔性透明材料制作的集尿袋101,它相当于前述图1中润湿设备10的集尿袋1。也就是说,集尿袋101的前端具有一个向下伸展的细长袋102,向后则有一个集尿室112,更后部则有一通向集尿袋101的入口114。集尿室112与细长袋102之间是流体相通的。
也象前述图1中的润湿设备10一样,亲水导尿管103上具有张开的后部116,有一根细长杆118从该后部向前伸出,还有一个端部开口的腔(图中未画)从后部116的后端伸展到导尿管103前端圆形端头104上的排出孔105。该导尿管可通过入口114插入到集尿袋101内,要插得优选使导尿管103的至少可插入长度被接纳在细长袋102内。
从图3可以更具体地看到,润湿液贮存小袋已被插入入口114中的操作位置上,此时是借助于摩擦配合而保持在这个地方。小袋106的前部120在操作状态时向前伸入入口114内,而小袋的后部122在操作状态时向后伸出到入口114之外。
小袋106优选用铝箔制造,特别是当使用环氧乙烷作为设备110的消毒剂以及小袋内装的是无菌的水或盐水溶液时是如此。当用环氧乙烷作为设备110的消毒剂时,小袋106在入口114中的摩擦配合不是很紧密,因此仍不妨碍环氧乙烷进出集尿袋101而对袋的内表面和小袋的外表面以及导尿管103进行消毒。如图所示,润湿液是靠周缘封焊而保存在小袋106内的。
现参看图4和图5,小袋106的前部120是前部边缘124。从前部边缘124向后延伸的是撕开线126。从小袋106的前部边缘124在撕开线126的一边向前伸出的是第一突出部128。在撕开线126的另一边有一长条第二突出部130,在这里画的是第二突出部130处于展开状态,从前部边缘124向前伸出。
如图6所示,长条的第二突出部130是可以围绕前部边缘本身从图4、图5所示的伸展状态折回去变成折缩状态的,这时第二突出部130是从前部边缘124向后伸展了。当第二突出部130处于折缩状态时,小袋106被插入入口114至图2和图3所示的操作位置。
再看图2和图3,可以看出,第二突出部130的尺寸应当能在小袋106处于操作状态时,第二突出部130的拉手部132伸出于集尿袋101的入口114之外,构成小袋106后部122的一部分。
图7和图8示出操作小袋106、把小袋106的内容物泄入细长袋102中以润湿导尿管103的亲水外表涂层的情形。使用人通过集尿袋101的柔性透明塑料材料抓住第一突出部128,然后把第二突出部130的拉手部132(它伸出在入口114之外)向后拉,使撕开线126被撕开,使润湿液泄放入细长袋102,以润湿导尿管103。小袋106优选贮有足够的润湿液,以使小袋充注到能使导尿管103的可插入长度得到润湿的高度。
在往细长袋102泄放完润湿液后,小袋106就被从集尿袋101中取走并处理掉。集尿袋101和导尿管103随后在象前述图1中的润湿设备10那样的状态下使用。
如果需要的话,集尿袋101也能做成封闭式的,把小袋106和导尿管103预包装在袋内。在此情况下,集尿袋101的结构应当这样,就是小袋106能通过集尿袋101的材料在上述状态下被打开。
上述参阅图2至8所描述的润湿设备101,除别的优点外,特别具有两条优点:(i)当小袋106是用铝箔制造时,小袋可与集尿袋101分开处理,因此有利于回收铝箔,对环境有利;(ii)它的小袋106能更好地经受住在包装和消毒时常常会加在润湿设备上的周期性压力,但其结果是通过集尿袋101的材料直接在小袋106上加压它也不一定能开启,在此情况下恐怕就要求用显著弄薄的小袋边缘了,因为通过集尿袋101是不能使用大的压力而不损坏集尿袋101的。
在参考附图的上述示例性实施方案中,供应润湿液来润湿亲水导尿管所采取的方式是与润湿容器整体化的单独的小袋。本领域技术人员会认识到如果供应润湿液能采取整体做在润湿容器材料内的贮液室的方式也是不脱离本发明的构思精神。
Claims (24)
1.一种在使用前用来润湿亲水导尿管的润湿设备(10;110),该设备包括限定润湿液接受区(2;102)的润湿容器(1;101)、安排在所述的润湿容器(1;101)中的亲水导尿管(3;103)和润湿液贮器(6;106),该润湿液贮器(6;106)上具有排出口,当在其上施加预定的条件时,排出口就从关闭状态转向开启状态,就能使润湿液从润湿液贮器中排出,其特征在于:润湿液贮器(6;106)是与润湿容器(1;101)形成一个整体,至少润湿液贮器(6;106)的排出口是配置在润湿容器(1;101)的边界以内的,润湿液贮器(6;106)的排出口与润湿液接受区(2;102)保持液体流通,以及在润湿液贮器的排出口上施加预定的条件时,就能使润湿液排入润湿液接受区(2;102)来润湿亲水导尿管(3;103)的至少一段可插入长度。
2.权利要求1的润湿设备,其特征在于:润湿液接受区是一个其长度可以容纳亲水导尿管(3;103)的可插入长度的细长袋(2;102);以及润湿液贮器(6;106)能贮存足够的润湿液,能把细长袋充注到能至少润湿亲水导尿管(3;103)的可插入长度的高度。
3.根据权利要求2的润湿设备,其特征在于该润湿容器是集尿袋(1;101),而细长袋(2;102)形成它的前面部分。
4.权利要求3的润湿设备,其特征在于该集尿袋还包括集尿室(12;112)至细长袋(2;102)的后部,所述的集尿室(12;112)具有的容量大于细长袋(2;102)的容量。
5.权利要求4的润湿设备,其特征在于:集尿袋的细长袋(2;102)的后端是开口的,前端的封口被弄薄,当在其上施加预定的压力时,前端的封口就被除去,从而使亲水导尿管(3;103)的一部分包含至少是可插入长度的部分,以在被润湿后通过细长袋(2;102)的前端而伸出,以便在润湿后插入病人的尿道;集尿室(12,112)的前端与细长袋(2;102)的开口后端之间流体相通,集尿室是用来在亲水导尿管(3;103)插入病人尿道后适于用来收集通过亲水导尿管(3;103)向后输来的尿的。
6.权利要求1的润湿设备,其特征在于,润湿液贮器(6;106)是用铝箔、聚偏二氯乙烯或镀金属的薄膜制造的。
7.根据权利要求6的润湿设备,其中所述的镀金属薄膜是镀金属的聚对苯二甲酸乙二醇酯。
8.权利要求1的润湿设备,其特征在于,润湿液贮器(6)在操作状态时是完全被容纳在润湿容器(1)的边界以内的。
9.从属于权利要求8的润湿设备,其特征在于,润湿液贮器(6)是永久性地固定在润湿容器(1)的内表面上的。
10.从属于权利要求8的润湿设备,其特征在于,润湿液贮器被做成润湿容器(1;101)整体中的一个分隔间。
11.权利要求1的润湿设备,其特征在于:润湿容器(1;101)是用柔性材料制成;以及润湿液贮器(6;106)的排出口是能通过润湿容器(1)的材料对润湿液贮器(6)施加预定的力而使其转向开启状态的。
12.权利要求1的润湿设备,其特征在于该润湿液贮器(6;106)与润湿容器(1;101)成为可拆卸地固定状态的一个整体。
13.权利要求12的润湿设备,其特征在于:润湿容器(1;101)上设有一个入口,该入口与润湿液接受区(2;102)流体相通;以及润湿液贮器(6;106)可借助于将其至少是前部插入润湿容器(1;101)的入口而将其可拆卸地固定在润湿容器(1;101)的入口中,而润湿液贮器(6;106)的前部具有排出口。
14.权利要求13的润湿设备,其特征在于,润湿液贮器(6;106)是通过润湿液贮器(6;106)与润湿容器(1;101)入口之间的摩擦配合来可拆卸地固定在润湿容器(1;101)的入口中的。
15.权利要求12的润湿设备,其特征在于,润湿液贮器(6;106)上包括有向排出口施加预定条件的装置,以便使润湿液贮器的排出口转向开启状态。
16.权利要求15的润湿设备,其特征在于:润湿液贮器(6;106)的前部是放在润湿容器(1;101)的入口中的;润湿液贮器(6;106),的后部是伸出到润湿容器(1;101)入口之外的,而且润湿液贮器(6;106)的后部至少包括有施加预定条件装置的一部分。
17.权利要求16的润湿设备,其特征在于,排出口上包括有润湿液贮器(6;106)前部材料上的薄弱区,该区在往其上施加预定的力时能转向开启状态,以及润湿液贮器(6;106)后部包括的施加预定条件的装置的一部分,是一个小突出部,当在其上施加预定的拉力时就会把预定的力施加到润湿液贮器(6;106)前部材料的薄弱区上。
18.权利要求17的润湿设备,其特征在于,润湿液贮器(6;106)前部材料上的薄弱区是一条撕开线,该线设计成当在小突出部上施加预定的拉力时它就被撕开。
19.权利要求18的润湿设备,其特征在于,施加预定条件的装置还包括支持润湿液贮器(6;106)以对抗施加在小突出部上的拉力的支持装置。
20.权利要求19的润湿设备,其特征在于:润湿容器(1;101)是用柔性材料制作的;以及支持装置被设在润湿液贮器的前部上,以便使用人通过润湿容器(1;101)的材料来捏住。
21.权利要求20的润湿设备,其特征在于:润湿液贮器(6;106)的前部有一个前部边缘;撕开线从前部边缘向后延伸;该小突出部为从前部边缘向后延伸的第一突出部,它位于撕开线的第一边上,它们的尺寸应使得第一突出部会从润湿容器(1;101)的入口伸出;用以支持润湿液贮器(6;106)以对抗施加在第一突出部上的拉力的支持装置是第二突出部,它位于撕开线的第二个相对边上,从前部边缘向前延伸;以及当相对于第二突出部向第一突出部施加预定的向后拉力时,就会使撕开线撕开,并使润湿液从润湿液贮器(6;106)中排入润湿容器(1;101)的润湿液接受区(2,102)。
22.权利要求1的润湿设备,其特征在于,润湿液贮器(106)采取的是小袋的形式。
23.权利要求1的润湿设备,其特征在于,润湿液是水或盐水溶液。
24.权利要求23的润湿设备,其特征在于,润湿液贮器(6;106)的制造材料是不能渗透环氧乙烷和水或盐水溶液。
