Abstract
Un proceso para producir cobre metálico desde concentrados de cobre sin generación de residuos, el cual comprende: (a) reacción de oxidación del concentrado de cobre; (b) limpieza y enfriado de los gases; (c) alimentación al reactor de reducción; (d) limpieza de los gases; (e) descarga de las calcinas y polvos calientes en agua; (f) separación magnética; (g) espesamiento y filtración de la fracción magnética; (h) flotación de la sílice e inertes; (i) espesamiento y filtración de la sílice e inertes; (j) espesamiento y filtración del concentrado final conteniendo el cobre metálico y metales nobles; (k) fusión del concentrado final de cobre y metales nobles; y (l) recirculación de la escoria de fusión molida al reactor de tostación.
