Abstract

A cover for a book comprises a rectangular sheet (1) intended to be wrapped around this book. In order to make a cover whose dimensions are exactly the same as those of the book, and thereby produce a covered book of attractive appearance, the cover comprises a number of series of lines (6, 9) near the edges (5, 7, 8) of the sheet and parallel to these edges, one series of lines (10) being provided vertically in the centre (11) of this sheet (1). It is thus a simple matter to select those lines (6 and 9) corresponding to the format of the book, centring its spine accurately by means of the lines (10), and then to cut or fold the sheet (1) in order to cover the book. <IMAGE>
