Abstract

The creel comprises three superposed levels (1, 2, 3) each constituted by a rigid horizontal plate (4), supporting and holding in a vertical position two rows of yarn packages (6), and a connecting frame (5) fitted with thread guides for withdrawing (paying-out) the yarn. The plates and frames of the creel can be removed. By means of these elements, it is thus possible to produce a creel for supplying a treatment loom without having to manipulate the packages, as the plates can also be used for storing and transporting the packages, with a minimal volume. This creel can be used in the manufacture of synthetic (chemical) yarns, especially textured yarns. <IMAGE>
