Description
Packaging for ampoules.
The ampoule packaging which is the object of the present invention comprises a rack in two parts each provided with a series of notches arranged symmetrically in pairs with respect to the longitudinal axis of the rack and cooperating in pairs to receive a bulb. This packaging is characterized in that said notches are formed in two opposite faces of hollow prisms facing each other and taken out of the same sheet of thin cardboard.
In a preferred embodiment of the packaging, the notches of one of the parts of the rack are each provided with a tab against which the bottom of the bulb can elastically press. Generally, this lant, alette will be marked with a fold line at the same time as the angle of the prism to which it adjoins, and touches the inner face of the wall opposite to that to which it is attached, in order to be able to exert cer an elastic reaction to the bottom of the ampoule.
The drawing shows, by way of example, an embodiment of a rack belonging to a packaging according to the invention.
Fig. 1 is a perspective view, and
fig. 2 a plan view of the developed sheet from which the rack came out.
Fig. 3 is a cross section along a plane perpendicular to the longitudinal axis IT'-X, shown in FIG. 2.
A cardboard blank 1 was, coming out of the sheet in which it was cut, pierced with openings 2, long and narrow, arranged at an equal distance from each other along the longitudinal axis X-X of the rack. On the other side of this axis and facing the openings 2, tabs 3 have been cut, so as to be still attached by their edge 4 to the cardboard blank and which, when pushed outside the surface of the blank, discover other openings, larger, 12.
It has, moreover, been made in the blank of the fold lines 20, 21, 22, 23, determining the angles of two hollow prisms, 5 and 6, which are formed, as seen in fig. 3, by folding the cardboard blank on itself and gluing the middle part 7 of the rack on the bottom 8 of the latter. The interior angles 21 of the prisms 5 and 6 separate two adjacent sides of the prisms and share both the openings 2 and the openings 12 which result from the cutting of the tabs 3, into two parts which are placed on adjacent surfaces 9 and 10 of the hollow prisms. .
These two openings 2 and 12 face each other and form a pair of cooperating openings intended to receive an ampoule 11, the neck of which is introduced into the openings 2, while the body is placed in the opening 12.
By putting this bulb in place, the tab 3 is pushed against the side wall of the prism 5 and as this tab is of sufficient length and has been marked with a fold line at the same time as that of the edge has been made. 21 of the prism, it touches the inside face of the wall opposite to that to which it is attached and exerts, therefore, an elastic reaction on the bottom of the bulb to hold it in place in the pair of notches in which this bulb has been introduced.
The packaging is completed by a case, in which the rack is inserted by sliding it.
The construction of the two hollow prisms is such that, under the elastic effect of the tabs, their outer walls have the tendency to bulge outwards and thereby take the play which may exist between the rack and the case in which it is housed.
