Description
Fig. 1 einen Längsschnitt durch das Zei ger-Metallthermometer,
Fig. 2 eine Draufsicht auf dasselbe.
Pointer metal thermometer with an externally adjustable zero point.
The present invention relates to a pointer metal thermometer with an externally adjustable zero point, in which the pointer and scale are accommodated in a completely closed housing. The invention consists in that the scale is rotatable from the outside inside the housing by means of an element, the introduction of which into the housing is watertight.
An example embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is illustrated in the accompanying drawing, it shows:
Fig. 1 is a longitudinal section through the Zei ger metal thermometer,
Fig. 2 is a plan view of the same.
In the housing a, the switching tube b is pressed, in which the heat sensor in the form of a bimetal spring c is inserted. The lower end of the bimetallic spring c is attached to the pointer shaft d which is rotatably supported in the bearing g; the upper end of the spring is attached to the tube b.
The bearing g is pressed or screwed into the housing a. At the upper end of the Zei gerwelle d, the pointer e is attached. The dial f is rotatably mounted on the bearing g and is provided with the spur gear i on the lower side. The spring washer s presses against the spur gear, whereby the dial is pressed against the collar of the bearing g and is thereby braked. The spur gear 7c, which engages in the wheel i, sits on the bolt h, which is mounted in the housing a. The head of the bolt h is versent in the housing a and provided with notches m so that it can only be rotated with a special key.
The bolt can also be provided with a hole so that it can be secured against twisting by sealing. The introduction of the bolt h into the housing is made watertight by the seal I.
The housing a is closed in a watertight manner with a sealed and transparent cover o so that the entire thermometer can be immersed in liquid without it penetrating the interior of the thermometer. On the inclined surface g 'of the bearing g there is a marking line p (FIG. 2) which corresponds to graduation marks q of the dial f. Before shipping, the pointer e of the thermometer is set to its starting position, in which the mark p corresponds to the middle mark q on the dial. If the scale f is now rotated, this is immediately recognizable by the position of the mark p relative to the marking lines q.
