Abstract

PROCESSO PARA PRODUZIR ÓXIDO DE PROPILENO. É descrito um processo para produzir óxido de propileno compreendendo reagir propeno com peróxido de hidrogênio na presença de um catalisador para dar uma mistura (GI) compreendendo óxido de propileno, propeno não reagido e oxigênio; separar óxido de propileno da mistura (GI) para dar uma mistura (GII) compreendendo propeno e oxigênio; e adicionar hidrogênio na mistura (GII) e reduzir o oxigênio compreendido na mistura (GII) pelo menos parcialmente por reação com hidrogênio na presença de um catalisador compreendendo cobre na forma elementar e/ou óxida em um suporte, em que o cobre está presente no suporte em uma quantidade 30 a 80% em peso com base no catalisador total e calculado como CuO.
