Abstract
APERFEIÇOAMENTO INTRODUZIDO EM EIXO AUTO-DIRECIONAL PARA VEÍCULOS AUTOMOTORES DE GRANDE PORTE, revela como 'terceiro eixo" para carretas do tipo "vanderléia"; o eixo auto-direcional ora tratado utiliza o conceito básico de eixos auto-direcionais com pivôs laterais especialmente adequado às obrigatoriedades decretadas pelo CONTRAN, além de ser responsável pelo aumento de vida útil dos pneus que compõem o "terceiro eixo" da carreta, pelo aumento da manobrabilidade geral do veículo automotor de grande porte, e por oferecer maior espaço para a montagem da suspensão pneumática a qual o eixo será acoplado; a grande vantagem funcional obtida refere-se à robustez do eixo auto-direcional, a qual é obtida pelo especifico processo de produção dos elementos que integram o eixo auto-direcional, aumenta também a durabilidade do eixo em si, resultando em menor incidência de manutenção preventiva e corretiva; o eixo auto- direcional é fundamentalmente composto por uma viga principal (2), por duas mangas de eixo (3), por pelos menos dois elementos amortecedores de choque (4), por pelo menos uma barra de ligação (5), e por pelo menos dois braços de ligação (6).IMPROVEMENT INTRODUCED IN SELF-STEERING AXLES FOR LARGE MOTOR VEHICLES, revealed as a 'third axle' for trailers of the "vanderléia" type; the self-steering axle discussed here uses the basic concept of self-steering axles with lateral pivots especially suited to obligations enacted by CONTRAN, in addition to being responsible for increasing the useful life of the tires that make up the "third axle" of the trailer, for increasing the general maneuverability of the large motor vehicle, and for offering greater space for mounting the pneumatic suspension to which the axle will be coupled; the great functional advantage obtained refers to the robustness of the self-steering axle, which is obtained by the specific production process of the elements that integrate the self-steering axle, also increases the durability of the axle itself, resulting in less incidence of preventive and corrective maintenance; the self-steering axle is fundamentally composed of a main beam (2), two hoses those of the axle (3), by at least two shock absorbing elements (4), by at least one connection bar (5), and by at least two connection arms (6).
