Abstract

O diol e o triol também reduzem a evaporação do acido e, portanto, melhoram o ambiente de trabalho.USE OF ETHYLENE GLYCOL OR PROPYLENE GLYCOL OR GLYCEROL OR A MIXTURE OF ETHYLENE GLYCOL OR PROPYLENE GLYCOL AND/OR GLYCEROL AS A CORROSION INHIBITOR FOR ORGANIC OR INORGANIC ACIDS. The present invention relates to the discovery of simple diols and triols that function as corrosion inhibitors in concentrated organic and inorganic acids, for example, used as additives in metallic equipment in factories and installations. These corrosion inhibitors are inexpensive and readily available in large quantities. The diol and triol also reduce acid evaporation and therefore improve the working environment.
