Abstract
REATOR CATALìTICO COMPACTO PARA UMA REAçãO DE REFORMA, E, PLANTA PARA CONVERTER GáS NATURAL EM HIDROCARBONETOS DE CADEIA MAIS LONGA. Reator catalítico compacto (20) para reforma compreende um módulo de reator (70) para defmir uma multiplicidade de primeiro e segundo canais de fluxo dispostos alternadamente, para transportar primeiro e segundo fluxos de gás, e uma estrutura catalítica (80) permeável a gás, removível, com um substrato, por exemplo de folha de metal, é provida em cada canal de fluxo em que uma reação química deve ocorrer. O reator é previsto para uso com um primeiro fluxo de gás cuja pressão está acima da pressão ambiente e não é menor do que a do segundo fluxo de gás. O módulo reator (70) pode ser formado de uma pilha de placas (72, 74, 75). O módulo (70) está encerrado dentro de um vaso de pressão (90), a pressão dentro do vaso de pressão sendo disposta para ser uma pressão substancialmente igual que a do primeiro fluxo de gás. ConseqUentemente, nenhuma parte do módulo (7) está sob tensão. Isto simplifica o projeto do módulo reator, e aumenta a proporção de seu volume ocupado pelo catalisador.
