São aqui descritos compostos de aril-hidrazino substituído, composições farmacêuticas compreendendo o mesmo, métodos para modular a atividade de um receptor de trombopoietina usando o mesmo, métodos para identificar compostos tais como moduladores dos receptores de trombopoietina, e métodos para tratar doenças pela administração de um composto da invenção a um paciente necessitado.
