Abstract

"PARTìCULA DE POLìMERO DE POLIéSTER, RECIPIENTE MOLDADO POR SOPRO, GARRAFA PARA BEBIDAS, PARTìCULA DE POLIéSTER, PROCESSO PARA FABRICAR UM RECIPIENTE A PARTIR DE UM POLìMERO DE POLIéSTER(ES), E, PRé-FORMA". Provê-se agora uma partícula de polímero de poliéster tendo uma viscosidade intrínseca, uma superfície, e um centro, em que a viscosidade intrínseca na superfície da partícula é menos do que 0,25 dL/g maior do que a viscosidade intrínseca no centro da partícula. A partícula de polímero de poliéster é desejavelmente cristalina para evitar que as partículas agarrem umas nas outras enquanto secando, e desejavelmente contém menos do que 10 ppm de acetaldeído. Um recipiente de poliéster, preferivelmente uma pré-forma ou garrafa para bebidas, é feito por alimentação das partículas de poliéster cristalizadas tendo uma viscosidade intrínseca de pelo menos 0,70 dL/g para uma zona de extrusão, fusão das partículas na zona de extrusão para formnar uma composição de polímero de poliéster em fusão, e formação de uma chapa ou peça moldada a partir do polímero de poliéster fundido extrudado, em que uma porção das partículas de poliéster tem uma viscosidade intrínseca em sua superfície que não varia de sua viscosidade intrínseca em seu centro em mais do que 0,25 dL/g, e as partículas não foram polimerizadas em estado sólido. Estas composições de poliéster tem uma viscosidade intrínseca apropriada para recipientes, ainda assim perdem menos viscosidade intrínseca durante o processamento em fusão do que os poliésteres existentes.
