Abstract
"MOTOR DE COMBUSTãO INTERNA ALIMENTADO COM UM COMBUSTìVEL GASOSO INFLAMáVEL, E, MéTODO PARA OPERAR UM MOTOR DE COMBUSTãO INTERNA ALIMENTADO COM COMBUSTìVEL GASOSO". Em um motor de combustão interna, um dispositivo de ignição (30) é disposto dentro da câmara de combustão (13) em proximidade a um bocal de injeção de combustível (20). O dispositivo de ignição (30) compreende uma luva (34) que fornece um espaço protegido (33) em torno de um dispositivo de ignição de superfície quente. A luva (34) restringe e fluxo entre o espaço protegido (33) e a câmara de combustão (13). O bocal (20) compreende uma porta de injeção de combustível que é orientada para direcionar pelo menos um borrifo de combustível (22) sobre a superfície da luva (34). A luva (34) compreende uma abertura de admissão através da qual ar e combustível entram no espaço protegido para formar uma mistura de combustível no mesmo. O dispositivo de ignição de superfície quente (32) compreende uma ponta localizada próxima à linha central da abertura de admissão (36). A mistura combustível entra em ignição dentro do espaço protegido (33) e uma chama combustível é impelida através uma abertura de descarga e em contato com as os borrifos de combustível emergindo do bocal de injeção de combustível (20).
