Abstract

Patente de Invenção: <B>''DISPOSITIVO DE PROTEçãO CONTRA SOBREVOLTAGEM QUE INCLUI PASTILHA DE MATERIAL DE VARISTOR''<D>. Um dispositivo de proteção contra surtos de voltagem inclui um primeiro membro de eletrodo possuindo uma primeira superfície de contato substancialmente plana e um segundo membro de eletrodo possuindo uma segunda superfície de contato substancialmente plana. Uma pastilha formada de material varistor e possuindo primeira e segunda superfícies de pastilha substancialmente planas opostas é posicionada entre as primeiras e segunda superfícies de contato com as primeira e segunda superfícies de pastilha encaixando as primeira e segunda superfícies de contato, respectivamente. As supefícies de contato podem aplicar uma carga às superfícies da pastilha. Preferivelmente, os membros de eletrodo possuem uma massa térmica combinada que é substancialmente maior do que a massa térmica da pastilha. A pastilha pode ser formada pelo fatiamento de uma haste de material varistor.
