Abstract

906,620. Sparking plugs. LODGE PLUGS Ltd. July 17, 1961 [May 12, 1960], No. 16718/60. Class 7(4) In a sparking plug the spark gap has two or more portions, that constituted by at least part of the annular end face of the insulator 12 carrying the central electrode 11 being not greater than twentyfive thousandths of an inch in width and the other or each of the others being formed by an air gap which is not greater than fifteen thousandths of an inch. The insulator may be of ceramic material having a dielectric constant of the order of ten or more such as that sold under the Registered Trade Mark "Sintox".
