''TELEFONE SEM FIO PARA USO EM UMA REDE DE COMUNICAçõES E PROCESSO PARA PRESERVAR ENERGIA DE BATERIA QUANDO UM TELEFONE SEM FIO ESTá EM UM MODO AUXILIAR''. Um telefone sem fio que tem um transceptor de comunicação sem fio, um receptor de sistema de posicionamento global (GPS), e um controlador conectado a ambos o transceptor de comunicação sem fio e o receptor de GPS, em que o controlador inteligentemente adapta seu programa de manutenção de dados de GPS de acordo com um conjunto único de indicadores derivados das condições operacionais do telefone sem fio.
