Abstract
<B> MéTODO E APARELHO PARA REDUZIR O CONSUMO DE ENERGIA DE DISPOSITIVO DE COMUNICAçãO<D> Um método para reduzir o consumo de energia em um dispositivo de comunicação inclui uma etapa de adquirir (204) um sinal em um canal piloto comum de um sistema de comunicação por rádio. Um etapa seguinte inclui a detecção (206) de bits predeterminados no sinal do canal piloto comum indicativos de atividade nos canais de radiochamada do sistema de comunicação por rádio. Quando nenhuma atividade de canal de radiochamada é indicada na segunda etapa, uma última etapa inclui a desenergização (208) de parcelas do circuito elétrico do dispositivo de comunicação de modo a reduzir o consumo de energia, e quando a atividade do canal de radiochamada é indicada na segunda etapa, uma etapa seguinte inclui a energização (210) de parcelas do circuito elétrico do dispositivo de comunicações tal que aqueles canais de radiochamada que são indicativos de atividade são monitorados pelo dispositivo de comunicação.
