Abstract
"COMPOSTO, E, PROCESSO DE ESTABILIZAçãO DE UM MATERIAL". Esta invenção refere-se genericamente a pirimidinas e triazina benzociclo-substituídas e ao uso das mesmas para a proteção contra a degradação por forças ambientais, incluisive de luz ultravioleta, radiação actínica, oxidação, umidade, poluentes atmosféricos e combinações dos mesmos. A nova classe de pirimidinas e triazinas benzociclo-substituídas compreende um benzociclo ligado ao anel triazina ou pirimidina, e preferivelmente um anel adicional contendo um grupo hidroxila, seja liver ou bloqueado para formar um estabilizador latente, orto para o ponto de ligação do anel pirimidina ou triazina. Estes materiais podem, sob circunstâncias apropriadas, ser ligados a formulações que compreendem revestimentos, polímeros, resinas, compostos orgânicos e os similares por meio de reação da funcionalidade ligável com os mateirais da formulação. Um processo para a estabilização de um material pela incorporação de pirimidinas e triazinas benzociclo-substituídas é também exposto.
