Abstract

"PROCESSO DE EPOXIDAçãO PARA ARIL ALIL éTERES". Um processo para produzir um composto epóxi de glicidil éter aromático contatando um alil éter produzido a partir de uma parcela hidroxi de um composto aromático contendo hidroxi com um oxidante de hidroperóxido inorgânico ou orgânico na presença de um catalisador de complexo de metal de transição, sendo que pelo menos (a) o alil éter está conformacionalmente restrito ou (b) o catalisador de complexo de metal de transição contém pelo menos um ou mais ligantes estáveis ligados ao metal de transição. O processo da presente invenção provê epóxidar aril alil éteres com alto rendimento de epoxidação (por exemplo, maior que 70 por cento a 90 por cento) e alta seletividade a hidroperóxido (por exemplo, maior que 70 por cento a 90 por cento).
