A invenção refere-se a um contactor eletromecânico em um eletroímã e a um portador de contato móvel, onde os terminais de potência (A) são dispostos em alojamentos (53) de uma tira de terminal de potência (50), a qual forma, com a placa de base (30), que aloja a bobina de eletroímã e a armadura, o corpo do contactor (10). A tira de terminal de potência (50) tem posições interterminais (51), as quais dependem do tipo de terminais de potência, e que cooperam com as formas correspondentes (42) de uma caixa de arco (40) no interior do corpo, as referidas formas sendo independentes do tipo dos terminais de potência.
