Abstract

<B>MéTODO PARA PROPORCIONAR OPERAçãO DE MICROFONE/ALTO-FALANTE E MéTODO PARA OPERAR UM DISPOSITIVO DE COMUNICAçãO PORTáTIL EM MODO DE MICROFONE/ALTO-FALANTE<D> Um dispositivo (104) de comunicação portátil, como por exemplo um telefone celular, é operável em modo de microfone/alto-falante. O dispositivo de comunicação utiliza um esquema de comunicação digital, e tanto recebe como gera sinais de voz codificada/decodificada. O microfone/alto-falante proporciona operação semidúplex para eliminar eco. Quando atividade de voz é detectada, o dispositivo ativa um alto-falante e emudece um microfone para eliminar eco. Quando é detectada atividade sem voz no sinal recebido, o alto-falante é emudecido e o microfone é ativado. Para determinar quando atividade de fala está presente no sinal recebido, é usado um algoritmo de detecção de atividade de voz novo (VAD) que aproveita os parâmetros providos como parte do sinal recebido de voz codificada/decodificada.
