Abstract

<B>MéTODO E APARELHO PARA GERAR VISTAS VIRTUAIS DE EVENTOS ESPORTIVOS<D> Um sistema de vista virtual (10) utiliza imagens brutas de câmeras (17) colocadas em torno de uma arena esportiva para gerar vistas virtuais do evento esportivo de qualquer ponto de vista considerado. O sistema (10) consiste em um sistema de rastreamento óptico (11), um servidor de ambiente virtual (12) e uma ou mais estações de vista virtual (13). O sistema de rastreamento óptico (11) recebe dados de vídeo bidimensionais, brutos de um número pré-selecionado de câmeras (17) estrategicamente colocadas em volta de uma arena esportiva. Os dados do estado do corpo são então passados para um servidor de ambiente virtual (12) que gera informações sobre posição do corpo e modelos visuais para transferência para um número selecionado de estações de vista virtual (13). Cada estação de vista virtual (13) inclui software de visão para renderização e ver uma cena de esporte virtual, conforme desejado. As estações de vista (13) controlam também o ponto de vista da visão de uma câmera virtual e transmitem dados de vídeo para um centro de produção de vídeo (128) de modo que dados de vídeo possam ser transmitidos e combinados com outra entrada de vídeo conforme necessário. Subsistemas opcionais como um centro de controle (13) e um computador de arquivo (16) podem ser integrados no sistema para alterar o posicionamento de câmera, travamento, foco, e zoom, e armazenar dados processados para o evento esportivo e reproduzir os dados mediante solicitação.
