Abstract

"APARELHO PARA FOTOTERMóLISE SELETIVA". Um processo e dispositivo para fototermólise seletiva de um alvo cirúrgico dentro de tecido circundante. O alvo e o tecido circundante são aquecidos até cerca de 60°C. Então, o alvo é aquecido até o ponto de coagulação, de preferência, por luz monocromática. A diferença de temperatura entre o alvo coagulante e o tecido circundante é suficientemente ligeira para que o aquecimento se difundindo para fora do alvo não danifique o tecido circundante, mesmo no caso de um alvo relativamente grande, como veias varicosas.
