Abstract

Patente de Invenção:<B>"BARREIRA PREVENTIVA CONTRA O ACESSO DE PRAGAS DE MADEIRA A ESTRUTURAS DE MADEIRA"<D>. São divulgados um processo e um dispositivo que previnem a intrusão de insetos (cupins, formigas) em estruturas de madeira pela utilização de uma barreira que compreende um polímero (preferencialmente uma poliuretana) que possui incorporado no mesmo um pesticida (piretróide ou inseticida organofosfato). O agente inseticida pode estar incorporado no polímero sozinho ou em associação com um veículo (preferencialmente negro-de-fumo ou carvão ativado) na forma de uma mistura aglutinada friável. A barreira é colocada entre a estrutura de madeira (por exemplo uma parede ou um parapeito de janela) e uma porção estrutural não feita de madeira tal como o solo. No processo divulgado a barreira mantém um nível eficaz mínimo de inseticida durante um período de tempo predeterminado.
