Abstract
"PROCESSO E INIBIDOR DE CORROSãO PARA INIBIR A CORROSãO DE METAIS EM CONTATO COM UMA SOLUçãO AQUOSA DE ALCANOLAMINA, E, SOLUçãO AQUOSA PARA REMOçãO DE GáS áCIDO". A corrosão de metais em contato com solução aquosa de alcanolamina em unidades de remoção de gás ácido é inibida mediante a manutenção na solução de alcanolamina de uma quantidade de um composto de inibição da corrosão tendo a fórmula (I) onde R é S ou O, e R~ 1~, R~ 2~, R~ 3~ e R~ 4~ são independentemente H, alquila C~ 1~ a C~ 8~, alquenila C~ 1~ a C~ 8~, arila C~ 6~ a C~ 10~, alcarila C~ 7~ a C~ 12~, aralquila C~ 7~ a C~ 12~, cicloalquila C~ 3~ a C~ 10~, tiofeno C~ 1~ a C~ 8~, ou grupos de amino. O alcanoditiol é útil para inibir a corrosão de metais tanto no gás ácido rico quanto em porções pobres da unidade de remoção de gás ácido.
