Abstract
<B>"CAIXA REFORçADA PARA DISPOSITIVOS PORTáTEIS"<D>. Em uma caixa de concha, tal como é usada para dispositivos portáteis, elementos de engate diferentes de parafusos ou ganchos são empregados para evitar que duas metades de uma caixa de concha tenham deslizamento significativo entre si ao longo da interface na qual elas se encontram quando a caixa de concha é submetida a momentos de dobramento e/ou torsionais. Tais elementos de engate podem incluir elementos para evitar deslizamento na interface das metades da caixa de concha, por ex., várias formas de dentes de intertravamento, elementos que aumentam o atrito ou similares, que são acrescentados a, ou moldados em, cada metade da caixa. Ao diminuir o movimento relativo ao longo do plano da interface, a propensão a separar ao longo da direção perpendicular ao plano da interface é reduzida. Isto é atingido porque a restrição do movimento relativo aumenta a rigidez de dobramento e torsional.
