Abstract
"PROCESSO DE ESCóRIA ESPUMANTE ATRAVéS DO USO DE LANçA DE MúLTIPLOS CIRCUITOS". Trata-se de um método para aumentar a recuparação de calor na pós-combustão em um reator que contém uma carga de metal ferroso fundido e escória, o qual inclui o uso de uma lança para a introdução de oxigênio gasoso na carga. O método inclui a insuflação de oxigênio na forma de carga através de pelo menos um primeiro bocal da lança, para o refino do metal fundido na forma de aço. O oxigênio é insuflado através de pelo menos um segundo bocal da lança, partir de pelo menos uma posição espaçada acima do primeiro bocal, a uma vazão de oxigênio eficaz para produzir escória espumante, em uma quantidade para se obter uma eficiência na transferência de calor na pós-combustão de pelo menos cerca de 40%, sem transbordamento apreciável de escória proveniente do reator. A vazão do oxigênio do sengundo bocal fica em um mínimo mais ou menos no ponto de partida do período de descarburação máxima da carga. Pelotas que contêm óxido de ferro também podem ser adicionadas à carga. Nesta caso, a vazão do oxigênio do primeiro bocal pode ser reduzida, enquanto é adicionado o material contendo óxido de ferro, e a vazão de oxigênio reduzido pode ser retomada com um gás inerte.
