Uma estação de comunicações sem fio que compreende uma unidade base (10), a qual consiste de interface de comunicações para se comunicar com diversas redes sem fio, um combinador de comunicações recebidas (12), para combinar sinais recebidos a partir de diversas redes de comunicações sem fio para diversas saídas de rádio freq³ência, no mínimo um transmissor de fibre ótica (14), que recebe a saída única de rádio freq³ência e que fornece saída ótica (16) para, no mínimo, um receptor de fibra ótica (22), para receber sinais óticos e fornecer saída de rádio freq³ência (RF), uma pluralidade de unidades remotas (20), cada uma icluindo diversas antenas (220) para se comunicar com redes de comunicações sem fio, e divisor de comunicações recebidas (24), para dividir sinais combinados de comunicações recebidos a partir da unidade base, e um combinador de comunicações transmitidas (12) para combinar sinais de comunicações transmitidos.
