RA BIOLóGICA ISOLADA SUBSTANCIALMENTE PURA, E, USO DA ENZIMA OU DA PREPARAçãO DE ENZIMA". Uma preparação de enzima compreendendo uma endo-1,4-b-glucancima de 85°C que é endógena a uma cepa pertencente ao filo de bactérias gram-positivas, e.g. a cepa Dictyoglomus sp., DSM 6262, ou que exibe uma atividade para carbóxi-metil-celulose (ensaio de CMC) a 70°C e em pH 10 que é mais elevada do que 50% em relação à atividade a 70°C e em pH ótimo; e um constructo de DNA compreendendo uma seq³ência de DNA codificadora da endo-1,4-b-glucanase; a enzima é útil e.g. na indústria têxtil para a melhoria das propriedades de fibras ou de tecidos celulósicos ou para proporcionar ao brim de algodão uma aparência de pedra lavada; ou em processos de limpeza indu produção de álcool; ou para a pré-digestão de e.g. grãos usados na produção de alimento; ou na prodão semelhantes.
