Abstract
"PROTEìNA DE LIGAçãO à LACTOFERRINA DE STREPTOCOCCUS UBERIS". A proteína de ligação à lactoferrina bovina (bLF) de Streptococcus uberis (S. uberis) é descrita, bem como o gene que codifica a bLF (lbp). As proteínas de ligação à LF podem ser utilizadas em composições vacinais para a prevenção e tratamento de infecções por S. uberis, particularmente mastite, bem como em métodos de diagnóstico para determinar a presença de infecções por S. uberis. Também é relatado uma região reguladora adjacente a lbp, denominada mga."STREPTOCOCCUS UBERIS LACTOFERRINE BINDING PROTEIN". The bovine lactoferrin-binding protein (bLF) from Streptococcus uberis (S. uberis) is described, as well as the gene encoding bLF (lbp). LF-binding proteins can be used in vaccine compositions for the prevention and treatment of S. uberis infections, particularly mastitis, as well as in diagnostic methods to determine the presence of S. uberis infections. A regulatory region adjacent to lbp, called mga, is also reported.
